I appreciate the help amigo. But just to clarify those early previews look nothing like the final layout and are not reflective of the current material. I'll post proper previews in due course. ;-)

Hey Dante & Vergil, it's being worked on. A 400 page rulebook and a 400 page epic bestiary for 5E. The rulebook is a few months from completion (fingers crossed) and the bestiary is a few months behind that. Obly was kind enough to post a link BUT I need to point out the early preview looks...

I think what you have to do is find a design 'hook' for each group. For the abominations I am cooking up for 5e, I have a new mechanic that just sort of gives abominations a shared identity. I won't say what it is. But my point being, give each group something, even a single feature they all...

    Godly Realms

Hey there MNblockhead, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Very interesting. I may have to pick up these books once I finish reading the Elric series. I'm assuming the Eldila are Gods/Angels, while the Oyarsa are Elder Gods/Arch-Angels? I can see parallels with my new divine ranking...

    Godly Realms

I try to put a bit of thought into it beyond the obvious. I'd like the book to be its own thing, even if it uses 5E at its core for the combat mechanics, the rest is as system neutral as I can make it. I am absolutely bursting to tell people everything, but better just to let the books do...

On the current build, some Purviews are closed off. There are 20 Purviews any Immortal can take, then there are 6 extra ones which are (currently) for Elder Ones and above. But have a few ideas how these might be opened up, but its not my priority right now. I'll cross that bridge when I get...

    Godly Realms

Hey there DirectMethod! :) Happy to have you onboard. Thanks! Although on 3.5E matters I generally defer to the likes of Beefermatic, Obly99 and others who post some fantastic stuff. Thanks so much! Really appreciated. Coincidentally enough in my new 5E book (coming soon guys - I know I...

The new book will have a Matter Purview* that is essentially a Gravity Purview as well as a new Epic/Immortal Race that specializes in Gravity-based attacks. *I changed the name from Portfolios to Purviews.

    Rules Questions

Yes...although, thinking about it now you could maybe also have a higher tier version that didn't have a save. But not sure exactly how powerful that would be compared to other Effects.

Had forgotten I wrote that...not too shabby. :giggle:

    AD&D 2E and The Immortal's Handbook

Yes I was wondering why I couldn't work out where I was going wrong...thought it was just old age. :D Don't worry about that, everyone has an off day now and then. No harm done buddy, just all a bit of fun.

    Rules Questions

That was my first thought as well. But I'm wondering if it would still all balance out okay.

    AD&D 2E and The Immortal's Handbook

Thrin was a 117th-level Lesser God of War in 1E where the haste spell doubled attacks. I took a look at the Sorlockadin build, but your numbers still seemed confusing. So Null is Level 21...? I thought you said Level 17 earlier. I don't even know how you are doing that amount of smite. The...

    AD&D 2E and The Immortal's Handbook

Interested to see how that breaks damage down exactly as well as your characters levels broken down by class. How exactly are you doing 48 eldritch blasts in one round...because the problem you are going to run into is that if your Level 17 Sorlockadin can shoot 48 such blasts, the 'poor'...

Glad Ascension was useful. ;) I thought Natural Armour and Armour did stack...its been a while. :giggle:

How many attacks do they have now and what damage are they doing?

    AD&D 2E and The Immortal's Handbook

I recall our god fights lasting 2 rounds tops, haste doubled attacks in 1E. So Thrin would be dealing 12 attacks of 2d12+17 plus sharpness chance or something like that. I think 1E haste was so ridiculous S'mon broke the rounds into half or quarter most of the time. So Thrin (12 attacks...

    AD&D 2E and The Immortal's Handbook

We had a Level 500 Wizard kill a Greater God with Magic Missile...but he was Level 500. I don't see any sub-100 Level caster one-shotting a god. So not sure what spells your player was casting or what level they were.

    AD&D 2E and The Immortal's Handbook

I'm not a fan of uncapped Ability Scores. I thought it was a good idea in 3E/3.5E, but after seeing the consequences of them (much like infinite class levels) they don't make the game better, far too prone to abuse, make the d20 secondary. The multi-classing in 1E needed a bit of work...
