    Will I like Dragonlance books?

Harsh. Yeah, you'll probably like them if you like fantasy books. I read them for the first time when I was about 11, but reread them in my mid-20s and was surprised how much I still enjoyed them. The characters are pretty one dimensional, but fun and as Thornir says, really likeable.

    GURPS or HERO?

There have been a few comments like that in this thread but little in the way of explanation. Is there a why? TB's comment about lower powered GURPS characters being more differentiated sounded good to me, and I'm leaning towards GURPS anyway because I've already got some Transhuman Space books.

    GURPS or HERO?

How does GURPS handle damage/wounds and healing? Are there rules for infection etc straight out of the box?

    Oops! I think I killed rpg.net

Quite. I've been a pretty regular poster over there in the last year, at least in part because I have had problems accessing ENWorld, and I think the so-called d20 hate is completely overblown. Sure, there are some who hate it, but plenty who either like it or don't care either way. That's the...

    Oops! I think I killed rpg.net

Yes, quite. The dislike of RPG.net evidenced in this thread is a little sad however. Just to choose one example: Why? I've never seen any gloating about ENWorld's problems over there.

Same here - hope it's back soon! Makes a change to be posting about RPG.net goign down on ENWorld though

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

The main thing that DnD has and WFRP doesn’t is the high level of character customisability. We played WRFP for about a year and it’s a great game that does exactly what it tries to do, but we’ve been playing a bit of DnD again recently and some of the players have been getting into the...

[Bo9S] Notes on swordsage in play

This is a cool thread that makes me want to both buy all the Age of Worms dungeon mags and the Bo9S pretty much straight away!

Sell me on Wizards books published since Complete Divine

I'm vaguely thinking about defining culture via the classes they take, esp. magic ones. "The guys from here practice the ancient art of binding, where as here they have wizards." that sort of thing.

Sell me on Wizards books published since Complete Divine

Sure, but I don't feel an obligation to buy books to provide my players with options.

    Why I WON'T boycott WotC

I'm not going to boycott them because they're completely within their rights to do what ever the hell they like with their magazines. Would this suck for the Paizo people? Sure, but they already got a bit more than the licence permitted and must have known this was coming for a while.

Sell me on Wizards books published since Complete Divine

Arcane, Warrior and Divine I've got. There's some ok stuff in all of them. Warrior is probably seeing the most use in my game right now. Everyone raves about Adventurer so I'll probably get that for the scout class. Mage looks cool if there was a wizard (which there isn't). So you're all saying.

    Good, recent Fantasy books

I actually ended up buying an R.Scott Baker novel. The Kate Elliot books - there were a lot of them and I couldn't remember which one I was supposed to get!

Would you pay for so-called Online "Dungeon/Dragon" content from WotC?

Where's the "perhaps - it depends how the content is and the payment model" option?

Sell me on Wizards books published since Complete Divine

So I had a look at a few books at the LSG today and PHB2 looks cool as do both tome books. Tome of Magic I want to like a whole heap but I'm not sure I do. I'd kind of prefer options to introduce magical systems to existing classes. Tome of Battle I expected to be totally uninterested in, but...
