    Dragonkin+Monkey Grip=best DPS?

I know a guy who has a Dragonkin with the Powerful Build and Monkey Grip feats, who dual-wields greatswords. Both of those would probably let you use a Gargantuan greatsword instead of a huge one.

    A maddening Poison

Well, it's a poison, but it functions as a disease. It's a poison crafted to stay with the person afflicted at every turn, until they either go mad or purge it's effects with magic.

Looks good, I'll make the appropriate modifications at the various sites.

Epic version of Empower spell feat?

OK, I had a number of epic level characters described to me (major epic, Wiz 21, Sorc 21, Ultimate Magus 10), who all could affect a certain type of spell (those corresponding to one particluar element (different for each one)) with the Intensify, Enhance and Widen metamagic feats without...

    A maddening Poison

Can you suggest a way to do that while still keeping the flavor and idea I have above?

    A maddening Poison

OK, I'll try to clear it up. If someone tries to cure you of the effect of this poison while you still have some amount of sanity (translation, a Wisdom score above 0), then it can be treated as normal for poisons, with a remove poison spell or similar effect. Once your Wisdom score has been...

    Little Known Rules of D&D

And I'm still looking for a source for this.

    Little Known Rules of D&D

Sounds like a plan. Anyone else want to get the Combat Casting thread started, or should I do it?

Every Ability Score Affects Saving Throws

Interesting idea, I may decide to implement it in my games. And it does make sense, your willpower is more than just how wise you are, it's also your force of personality (Cha). Your Con is how hardy you are (and that is both Str and Con), and smart people can figure out what's coming and...

    some questions regarding Contingency

My mistake, I also meant to add on a Permanency spell onto that, so that it takes effect every time he takes damage.

    some questions regarding Contingency

What I was thinking was, using a Cure Critical Wounds scroll, made maximized and empowered, or the like, do the following. 'Whenever I take damage, I receieve the benefit of a maximized and empowered Cure Critical Wounds spell.' That would essentially make it extremely difficult to hurt me...

D&D 3.x Good, plain old 3.5 character sheets!

I'm pretty sure WotC has some basic character sheets on it's homepage. Can't say definitely, but I'm pretty sure.

    some questions regarding Contingency

OK, Contingency states that no spell higher than 6th level can be activated with it, that you can only have 1 Contingent spell at a time, and that the trigger for it must be clearly stated. So I was wondering the following 1. Does the Contingent spell need to be another one the character can...

    Little Known Rules of D&D

...And where did you find this out at? I have Races of Stone, so I should probably looks Gnomes up and read through their full entry to find that.

    A maddening Poison

Except it can be healed or restored naturally, just not while it remains in effect. As I said, 2d12 hours, then (assuming they're still sane), it wears off and their sanity begins to return.

    Little Known Rules of D&D

Well, my source for the crit rule is Rusty, who's another poster on these forums, so if he can post a book and page, great. As for the other one I posted, This was put in response to a question about an alignment ruling that I use for my games.

    Little Known Rules of D&D

OK, this post is to see how many of us know about rules that are in existence and in the official books, but that almost no one knows of or uses. I have 2, included below. 1: If you score a critical hit twice in sequence on any one given opponent, you automatically kill them. 2: Only non-evil...

    Ice Damage Underwater

I remember my brother-in-law telling me about a time he was running a campaign. This particular portion was underwater, and the party was fleeing from Sahaugin and their attack sharks. The caster paused in his fleeing to cast Wall of Ice behind them. Apparently that was a very good idea...

    A maddening Poison

OK, here's a poison I came up with, let me know what you all think of it! Madman's Music Initial/secondary/tertiary effect: 2d6 Wis, 1d6 Wis, 1d4 Wis Will Save DC's: 15, 20, 25 This is an insidious poision, designed to attack the victims sanity. Within moments of it entering the victims...
