    D&D 5E (2014) Switching from Pathfinder to 5E

Yeah, even the Scribe Scroll feat that was floating about in the play tests has not made it to the PHB.

    D&D 5E (2014) Converting Older Editions Modules

What I have been doing for 3.5 > 5e Ability Scores is taking the score if less than 11. If over 11, the sore becomes 10 + the Ability Modifier. It gives it a nicer curve and means that creature Strength makes more sense in relation to Giants.

    D&D 5E (2014) Switching from Pathfinder to 5E

I see were you are coming from, but I always found that it really slowed down combat as standard rule. I think its a lot similar if being able to hit creatures before they reach you either requires Readying an Action or a special ability/feat.

    Pathfinder to 5E Conversion Tool?

To be honest, I would probably re-build the character from scratch using the 5e rules and then see if there is anything that seems obviously missing/wrong/odd. In general the 5e rules tend to build characters in big blocks. Class, Sub-Class, Background, Mega-Feats. Rather than having to work...

    D&D 5E (2014) Converting Older Editions Modules

You may be overestimating how much thought the designers put into it. Its a big room, its contains *rolls 4d6* 19 Hobgoblins...

    D&D 5E (2014) Switching from Pathfinder to 5E

5e so far seems a lot more flexable in how to build a concept though, due to backgrounds. You can play an acceptable Fighter/Thief just by playing a Fighter with the Criminal background, no need to even multiclass which is a big step up. Another advantage in character generation is you don't...

Possibly. I would want to see it in three dimensions to be honest, I think the curly bits are actually coming out and pointing towards us rather than being flat. Which is unusual, but I am pretty sure I have seen something similar.

D&D 5E (2014) Opinions on the sorcerer so far?

I actually think the Fighter with its semi-sub-class Fighting Styles at level 1 and the Warlock with its semi-sub-class patron type at level 1 are odder. Although the closed play test Ranger was the oddest of the lot. Semi-sub-class Favored Enemy at level 1, semi-sub-class Fighting Styles at...

Only as odd as the Cleric. ;o)

I spend a lot of time wandering around armouries, and I think all of those (apart from perhaps the double bladed axe) would fit in a actual weapon collection without looking out-of-place.

    D&D 5E (2014) It's the Sorcerer!

They basically get one more Cantrip than a Wizard/Cleric. As far as I am aware, no class can learn extra cantrips above and beyond that*. You cannot convert 'spells' into cantrips, they are not quite the same thing. *apart from by being a High elf, although there also may well be a feat to do it.

Other colours for feather boas will be in the DMG.

    D&D 5E (2014) Player's Handbook Alpha *Spoilers*

The only issue is that as a Great Sword is two handed, technically you cannot cast Somantic spells in combat. Its not a huge issue (and there may be a work around) but its something to be aware of when making your spell selection.

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e Rituals

Sexy 'near transparent' servants. I mean, there may be a market for that... well there almost certainly is a niche market for that... Why am I even having this conversation?

    D&D 5E (2014) Player's Handbook Alpha *Spoilers*

Yes, it's gone. Basically they did not want a cantrip that every spell-caster would have to take.

    D&D 5E (2014) Here's some 5E monsters

Hey, no problem. I am very much just putting ideas down on paper (well you know what I mean) to see if they 'look right'. Its very hard to say anything concrete one way or the other right now.

D&D 5E (2014) "Evil" options limited to the DMG?

You can not really start discussing rumours and then tell people you are not interested in the largest source of all the rumours right now.

    D&D 5E (2014) Here's some 5E monsters

Actually, thinking about it, 5e already has a mechanism for ignoring AC: Astral Claws: The astral searcher chooses one creature within 10 feet of it that it can see. The target must succeed on a DC 12 Charisma saving throw against this magic or take 7 (1d8+2) psychic damage. Additionally, the...
