D&D 5E (2014) Gamehole Con Live Tweeting Perkins Panel

From the twitter feed above: 'It is our intention to bring back the OGL. We just don't know when we are going to do it yet.'

    D&D 5E (2014) The Harmless Suplex?

The Grapple is only the grabbing part of what you describe. Nothing stops you following up the grab with further attacks to apply damage. So you grab hold of someone with one attack, and then smash their head into the floor with your next attack(s).

That is how I would interpret it.

D&D 5E (2014) Rise of Tiamat Supplement is online

I am so putting a 'girdle of goblin strength' in my next game.

D&D 5E (2014) MM: How many high levels monsters have some form of magic resistance?

Having a quick look, I think the only Magic Resistant creature on that list not proficient with at least 3 saves is the Iron Golem.

D&D 5E (2014) How would you do Yellow Mold in 5e?

That's the weaksause version, proper Yellow Mold psychically compels you to enter its spore cloud, rots your brain and then kills you when you fail the save...

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

I think you could argue that your reach only extends its full distance if there is not an obstacle in the way. If you are stood next to a wall 2 foot away, thus your reach is only 2 foot and anything melding into the wall is leaving your reach, even if its only moving 3 foot from you.

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

OK, but if you ignore size, doesn't a Greatsword resemble a Dagger?

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

That can has long been opened, though. You already have several creatures (Lizardfolk, Kuo-toa) that have mundane weapons that are not in the standard weapon list, that are presumably lootable. That said, as a bone Devil is large, I would not say any weapon made for medium sized creatures can...

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

The resemblance is an interesting point. It seems pretty easy to argue that a rock thrown by a Tarrasque resembles a rock thrown by a giant.

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

Ok, so say the difficulty to jump high enough to get in bite range is Very Hard, CR 25? That's still enough of a threat to shut down most ping strategies. Even you make it Nearly Impossible at DC 30, the Tarrasque has a 5% chance of getting a bite attack in. Where are you getting the...

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

It's hard to say on the DC because the guidelines do not cover jumping, but for jumping double what you can normally jump, Hard at DC 20 seems fair. That would give the Tarrasque a 50% success rate. As for the Grapple, it would seem fair that it could make a bite attack, which would grapple...

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

I am not seeing this covered the rules, tbh. Do you have a page reference?

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

That seems to be correct. You have to use the specific attacks listed for multiattack.

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

That is what it can jump automatically; it can also make a Strength (Athletics) Skill Check to jump an exceptional distance. See page 175.

    Thrown attacks go on Strength.

D&D 5E (2014) MM: How many high levels monsters have some form of magic resistance?

Aside from the Dragon Turtle and Purple Worm, all of them have some form of ability to negate some spells. Planetar, CR 16, Magic Resistance Solar, CR 23, Magic Resistance Death Night, CR 17, Magic Resistance Demilich, CR 18, Legendary Resistance (3/day) Balor, CR 19, Magic Resistance...

D&D 5E (2014) Is the Tarrasque tough enough?

The Jumping Rules in 5e allow you to 'jump an unusually long distance' with a Strength (Athletics) Ability Check. With Strength bonus of +10, the Tarrasque is pretty good at this.

    D&D 5E (2014) Request for Venger - 5e style

'It is said that he got his dark powers from The One Whose Name Cannot be Spoken, apparently a dark entity which was banished prior to the youngsters arrival.' That sounds like a Warlock Patron to me.

    D&D 5E (2014) Request for Venger - 5e style

Apparently that had him as a Male half-fiend human sorcerer 13/archmage 5, NE medium outside (native). CR 21.
