Is Losing your Turn The Worst That Can Happen

It's not the worst thing in the world, but it isn't fun. It happened to me once. My PC beating back the bad guys pretty effectively, so the DM altered the rules mid game so that a spell could reach my PC and knock him overboard. ..and of course there was no way for me to climb back up.

Star Trek and Idealism vs cynicism

If it's a temporary measure to restore the ideal, then yes. How many times have we seen the Prime Directive broken/ignored?

How important is it to you or your players for characters to feel "overpowered"?

Star Trek and Idealism vs cynicism

I don't mind the Federation having a dark underbelly. No institution is perfect, as we've seen in all Star Trek shows. D&D 5E (2024) What's Your 2026 WotC D&D Wishlist?

I think shifting ASI away from species was a lame move. If you want to play a mouse, that's great, just deal with the fact that an elephant is stronger...

    Star Trek: Section 31

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when the film and concept were greenlighted. These folks seem to have no idea what Trek fans want. It's like they are going out of their way to damage the IP.

D&D General Players: Do You Care From Whence Your DM Gets His Monsters/Challenges?

No, I don't care about the source. It's actually fun to fight a monster that you know nothing about. A lot better than pretending that you don't know about trolls and fire, for example.
