    Star Wars Alternity Conversion

If your intrested in using Alternity, I suggest you head over to boards at Alternity.Net. I would avoid the normal FX Rules found in the Gamemaster's Guide, as it is horribly thoughtout and designed. I suggest using the normal psionic rules. As for me, long time ago I made a quick conversion...

    Lightning Bolt! Ahahaha

I've seen this a few weeks ago and was going to post it, but decided against it, knowing that someone would post it anyways. :D I still laugh when I watch it. And I didnt know adventurers loved to play basektball?

    Lodoss War...

I recently found a link to a Lodoss War conversion for 3E on another board. Here's the link. I think that, while good, it is a bit thin in content and some of the page's background colors make ita pain to view. Overall, it does give enough to start with a basic Lodoss campaign.

    Stat that movie!

The 13th Warrior? How would the characters in 13th Warrior stack up? I'm guessing most wouldn't be barbarians, despite being called barbarians. I think they would be multiclassed Fighters, with their second class their specialty. Ahmed - An Aristocrat 2, Expert 1, and later becomes a Fighter 2...

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

Back again! This time I added a few things and a page with 2 PrCs; a Rifleman (a sniper basically) and a Gunslinger (but having trouble with the concept). Heres the link. I'm really stuck on the 2 PrCs, especially the gunslinger.

    Lodoss War...

Is anyone saving these notes for an actual conversion or is it all just talking abut Lodoss? I just don't want all this info go to waste. :)

    Lodoss War...

Paladins should be thrown out. I don't think there was a character in Lodoss that represents the class. King Fahn and King Kashue didn't use any sort of magic or special gifts. It should be replaced with a Knight class, with the first few levels representing being a squire. And the Blackguard...

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

This was originally made for my first homebre setting, but pretty much abandoned the idea for it. Now, I'm going to use it for a setting where magic and psionics are prevalent, but they only have limited knowledge about them, so they have developed firearms instead. I've also thought about a...

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

I finally revised the whole weapon issue. I now have these as generic weapons; pistol, revolver, musket, hunting musket, long rifle, and heavy rifle. The damage depends on the caliber used. I chose this because it allows me to keep it simple and to have it where its easy to have different...

(OT) Now THAT'S a sales pitch

Thats one freaky picture! Im scared of going to bed now! :( Shouldn't really matter though, I stay up all night anyways. :p

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

I have a problem with the firearm listing... Im trying to represent each firearm and its becoming a bit daunting for all the firearms that I come up with. One thing that I've thought of is that I would give each weapon (pistol and musket) a generic Cost, Crit Range, Weight, Damage Type, and Feat...

Did you know about D&D's reputation before buying?

Yeah, I meant the whole 'evil' reputation. Sorry bout not being specific! :( Edit: But Im surprised that so many got into it that didnt know what D&D was an such.

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

Here's what I have done so far (link) I'm looking for critique (sp?) on the shooting modifiers and pretty much everything else. I took out the Fast Draw feat and the Gunslinger and Sharpshooter PrCs haven't been done.

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

I'm in the process of writing it up as a webpage. When I'm finally finished with it or if I think its good enough to put up, I'll post a link. :)

Did you know about D&D's reputation before buying?

I was wondering if any of you knew about D&D's reputation before you got into it? Me? I didn't even know there was a Dungeons & Dragons game until my cousin brought it over one day. From then on I was hooked! :D

    Lodoss War...

I dont see any reason to change the dwarves. Ghim seemed like a pretty normal D&D dwarf to me. Possible bonus to a carving wood skill. (whats that called anyways?) As for Olson; you could just use an uncontrolled barbarian Rage ability. Needing a Will save to stay in control. Or how about it as...

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

Here's a basic rundown of what i have so far: O Masterwork firearms are treated as normal MW items. O Riffling is a modification that adds 50% to Range Increment. O Damage is based on the caliber and if using either blackpowder or cased ammunition. Lowest is 1d6 and the higest is 2d8. O...

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

I never said I was a firearms or history expert, just repeating the History Channel. :p Scopes: For each magnification power of the scope (x2, x3, etc), the scope gives an equipment bonus of +1 to an aimed attack and all range penalties are now -1 per increment, instead of -2. The highest power...

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

Im more intrested in the firearms of that era, not just flinklocks. They had scopes back then; though the scopes only maginification of x3 or so, were as long as the rifles themselves, and only a small eye-piece. Or says the History Channel. ;)

    Civil War-era firearms in D&D

How unbalancing would it be to have Civil War-era firearms in a D&D setting? Im thinking each Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat would cover only one type of firearm (flintlock rifle, flintlock pistol, etc). Second, how would I handle scopes? I was thinking of either the rules found in Star Wars...
