So I don't get it. These aren't kits. They are subclasses. Am I wrong? I've always thought kits were premade modules of existing mechanics that new players can choose to simplify character creation. Whatever they are called it's nice to have them.

They want to make it more clear that monsters that are resistant to stabbing, cutting, and bashing are resistant even if the damage isn't from a weapon. Like from a wolf's bite or a radish.

You know what setting would sell the most? A brand new setting.

My issue with both this poll and WotC's info is that I feel like the only reason Forgotten Realms is so high is because it's the ONLY setting that is supported. If every single module is for Forgotten Realms then that's what people are going to gravitate too. I am betting that it used to be...

Drizzt wouldn't be a beastmaster ranger. His animal companion is a powerful magic item. He's probably be a colossus slayer or something.

Every 1st level ranger should get a magic figurine that turns into most awesomest of beast companions whenever they want and then goes away when rangers want to pwn all the XPs and fight assassins. No really, if giving a more permanent animal companion is what they think would fix the ranger...

I find it funny that people were worried that MtG would change D&D if they tried to mix them and we got 4th edition a few years later anyway.

I don't want a replaceable animal companion. The only issue I have with the beast companion is the lack of saves. It's too easy for an animal companion to fail a save and be wiped out in a single area effect. I do understand that it doesn't make sense for the companion to cease attacking...

I wonder if so many people thought that it meant that the hit points were maximized that it has affected survey results. I have to agree that the when they talk about hit point maximum they intended for it to be what was rolled for the animal (or the normal average).

I guess Regis just has a high constitution.
