It's up to WotC to make any product worth purchasing. Eberron was just an example. If they created a whole new setting, I'd buy that too. I like setting material and new monsters, as well as different takes on the standard fantasy worlds.

I'm worried that they only spoke of the card game. Nothing about the RPG. On twitter they said "Regarding #L5R: we're excited about what's been done with the RPG so far & looking forward to engaging with that rich legacy in the future." Doesn't sound like have intentions to do much with the RPG.

I don't agree. My group still only buys ~1 book per "season" no matter what. Not knowing what they are producing next year doesn't make me buy more product. Forbes won't stop posting articles about D&D because next year there will be a Dragonlance Setting.

I think the lack of presence at GenCon relates to the lack of things they have to say. I do not like their strategy of not informing consumers on what they are working on until it's almost ready. The fact that they get harassed when something is cancelled should be expected instead of reason...

They should have asked our opinion about adding a completely new setting as opposed to just our favorite setting. I think every edition should have it's own new setting.

My main beef with the ranger is the low hit points and poor spell defense of the beast companion of the one subclass. Also that Hunter's Mark is a concentration spell with a melee class that doesn't have Con for a save. I don't think it needs to be replaced, just tweaked so a single fireball...

I really don't want them to fix the ranger by adding a new version. Fix the Beastmaster ranger. That's the one I want to play.

It bothers me that they have to put in a beholder with 10 disintegration eye stalks to be hard. That sounds like a chump GM maneuver to me.

I would call the property Shadowguard and not Shadowbane. Also I would make the Quirk always affect the holder of the shield and not just when they wield it in combat.
