Also: it holds a lot less than a full-bodied, mature iPod. For $50 more than the 4 gigabyte nano, you can get a 20 gig iPod. Now, that may be more than most folks need, but 4 gigs is pretty easy to fill. Me, I like walking around with EVERYTHING.
