    Stargate d20

wow. His GURPS & CT version is pretty sweet, only thing I found off is that the Stargate movie is supposed to take place in '96 according to the television show, not in '94 (it's year of release). Otherwise it seems like a dead on reference. Even most of the spellings are correct (and _no one_...

    Help me buy X-Files!

Hmm... never quite saw it in that light. The alien/guvmint conspiracy seems to permeate just under a third of the episodes of every season of the show, but the rest are relatively self-contained stories. Kind of like Stargate SG-1 which retains it's mythology throughout the series, but most...

    [OT] Favorite Band?

This is something that is usually underestimated about Mike Oldfield. He really was a flash progressive rock guitar player (the equal or better of Alex Lifeson, Andy Latimer, Steve Hackett, etc), and most people aware of him assume he's just another keyboardy new age guy like Yanni. It dosn't...

    [OT] Favorite Band?

Hmmm, how could I have left Styx or Supertramp of my list? Oh well, I forgot Roxy Music, Split Enz and Porcupine Tree too. Always hard to narrow it down to one band.

    [OT] Raw or Smackdown?

Raw (is Nitro). As far as television goes, I'm a mark for sports entertainment, not professional wrestling. That said, I do enjoy going to indy wrestling shows. But I don't think TV gets across the nature of in-ring wrestling in any way other than making it look like a bunch of fake fighting...

    [OT] Favorite Band?

It's not that I don't like them, though I do prefer bands that employ a vocalist to at least break up the 'mindless noodling' into managable sections. So, in a sense, I prefer Explorer's Club to LTE just as I would prefer Gong over Ozric Tentacles, even though I like all four bands.

    Stargate SG-20 (speculation?)

As a T20 playtester, I can more or less vouch that the system works fairly well for running Stargate games. I did run a one off Stargate game using the playtest rules with some variations, and it worked well enough. The Prior History rules especially fit the style of characters you run into in...

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Re: Re: Questions for Gary Hi Gary! Was the CRPG in question the Dangerous Journeys game that was advertised back in some of the old DJ books as coming for the Turbo Grafx 16/Turbo Duo game console? I remember debating about buying the console at the time, in anticipation of the game's...

    Stargate SG-20 (speculation?)

Anyone have any guesses who might be doing the Stargate D20 book, assuming this is a real project? I'm guessing it's between Alderac (who did a marvelous job with Farscape, but may be looking for a strong license that dosn't require extensive rechecking) and Pagan Publishing. John Tynes...

    [OT]Wrestling... how much is fake?

Wow... for a few moments, I thought I was reading a thread on Kayfabe Memories rather than EN World. ;)

    [OT]Wrestling... how much is fake?

Brody definitely had a habit of screwing with people. I can see why Larry would get legit scared. On a similar note, one of the dirtsheet sites had a rhetorical question up concerning last night's awarding of the WCW World Title to Triple H. Something along the lines of "Why didn't Eric Biscoff...

    [OT]Wrestling... how much is fake?

Ah, the AWA... beautiful memories. The Road Warriors have been in a few matches where miscommunication led to both parties ceasing to cooperate. Lex Luger is another one with a similar history. More recently, Perry Saturn tossed around Mike Bell like a sack of manure after Bell flubbed a...

EN World Members: D&D / D20 Bragging Rights

My only post-d20 credit was for the Shard of the Forsaken artifact in the original Relics & Rituals. It appears the concept was drawn upon to some degree for recent novels. :) Pre-d20 credits are better left forsaken.....

Cryptosnark Games' August Releases for the d20 System

The first thing I thought of when I saw the "Smack Down!" title was how close it comes to infringing on a WWE trademark. I'd consult your lawyer before including that exclamation point, especially considering that there is "wrestling" content.

Dungeons & Dragons (the movie) was also filmed in Prague... and well, surreal it wasn't. But hey, at least the rhino (gore! gore! gore!!!) is on topic now.

[PR] Green Ronin Spreads The Superhero Gospel To Half A Million Gamers

Dragongirl: the half million refers to the estimated combined circulation of Dungeon, Dragon, Dork Tower, and PC Gamer, where they took out ads, not the 50k flyers they gave out at GenCon. Eric: Not sure if I agree with that... the d20 System logo is on the cover image, and "witness the origin...

Why do so many people hate Voyager?

I don't hate the show, but it definitely has a "diluted" feel that the other shows didn't. Alot of that comes from the fact that several of the cast members were really not into it, and their performances seemed forced.

Eye of the Beholder for GBA

This has slipped through the cracks, as handheld games tend to do, but the old SSI AD&D Legends series game Eye of the Beholder is being revamped for the Gameboy Advance on October 2nd. While it keeps the plot and graphics of the original game, some key differences is that it's been updated to...
