    Deities & Demigods continued

I'm not sure if this had been mentioned in the thread yet, and I doubt it explains native-born deities (i.e. those with Outsider "levels"), but the ascended quasi-deity/deity presented in the Web Enhancement can be quantified: At Divine Rank 0, he has a base of 24 in each ability plus 21 points...

    Closed Thread

That's a byproduct of the roster split/"brand extension". The Denton house show is using the SmackDown! roster (Jericho, Rock, Angle, Edge, etc.). Basically the RAW brand runs a TV taping for it's shows on Monday, and several house shows throughout the week. The Smackdown brand runs a house...

Kenzer and Company Product Update - 03/29/02

Well Hackmaster module B1 also works fine for AD&D 1st edition, though I'd recommend throwing in the 20hp kicker.... ;)

    Look out, D20...here comes HYBRID!

A French site no less. Suddenly I feel like I did the first time I heard Ange after a steady diet of Genesis albums.

Kenzer & Co Dragon Ad - A RANT

I think I'm finally starting to see that be the case. For the first year of the Kingdoms of Kalamar 3E book's existence, I only saw it in game stores. Recently it has surfaced at nearby Borders and Waldenbooks stores alongside WotC products.

[PR] Sovereign Press to produce Dragonlance

Yes, another wonderful fan site that moved at a snails pace to decide on an official set of rules. Bleh. Thank goodness it's in the hands of an established publisher now.

    Sovereign Press to produce Dragonlance

Incorrect. They cleared that up last month, they have the right to use any TSR 1st or 2nd Edition AD&D setting within the confines of the standalone Hackmaster game. That includes Greyhawk, Mystara, Ravenloft, Dark Sun, etc. Their license dosn't extend to the D20 System.

[PR] Sovereign Press to produce Dragonlance

There's no reason that they couldn't use the standard magic system up through the end of the fourth age, and then use a variation of the Sovereign Stone system for magic of the fifth age/war of souls period (where magic is somewhat more freeform).

    (OT) Wrestling

I'd at least expect Sean Waltman to join them soon. The nWo merchandise is still selling huge, so I don't think they'll eliminate the faction just yet. Waltman's still defending the Light Heavy belt at house shows, so I'd also expect him to unify Tajiri's WCW Cruiserweight title upon his return...

    [OT] Stargate SG-1 (Spoilers)

Umm I wish I could help but between watching the syndicated version (a year behind, which is on a Fox affiliate in your market), the Showtime version (Currently running 5.14, so about 8 episodes behind), downloading the season finales of the SkyOne version (as current as it gets), and watching...

    3e Conversions

That would be a ridiculous trademark claim on their part. The term 'd20' has been used commonly for over twenty years now by virtually every RPG company that used a twenty sided die. TSR didn't challenge that use, nor did WotC when they bought TSR, so I'll bet (even though I'm not a lawyer) they...

    3e Conversions

I've never been one to subscribe to D20 System Trademark License conspiracy theories, but this has definitely made me reconsider. What this looks like to me is an attempt by WotC to trick fans into creating Open Gaming Content for their ESD products, so they can re-release them as 3rd Edition...

EQ RPG: It's Your World Now...

Perhaps it has something to do with their license with Sony or whomever. It is possible that someone would not want their licensees to produce a product with a direct link to a property as controversial as Dungeons & Dragons. It's also possible that when the D20STL and OGL licenses were...

[PR] Freeport: City of Adventure PDF preview

Very nice! The artwork is immersive, which is definitely a first so far as D20 System settings go. I was going to buy it anyway, but now I might actually have to read it too. ;)

Spycraft and how it goes up against D20 modern

This indicates to me that they probably could have got by with just two base character classes: The Action Hero (physical skill emphasis) and The Thinking Hero (mental skill emphasis). Action Heroes might include Buffy, Angel, Melvin Frohike, Jimmy Bond, Col. Jack O'Neil, and Teal'c. Thinking...

That's the 1981 version of the Basic set. Gygax and Arneson weren't involved directly.

The irony is, Kevin Smith probably would have found that article's poor choice of words amusing.

Kevin Smith (Ares from Xena) dead

I think my name gives away that I was a fan of the series. Besides working on Hercules, Xena and Young Hercules, Kevin was the star of a cop drama mini-series called "Lawless", and was slated to appear in Sci Fi Channels adaptation of Phillip Jose Farmer's Riverworld. Kevin was also a talented...
