D&D minis Harbinger complete set - still wanted by people?

I don't think it is a good time to be selling. In the past four months, I've completed three sets (Dragoneye, Aberrations and Deathknell) and I'm only one figure away from a complete Giants of Legend (Just need Lord Soth). Many times I've been the only bidder on a rare, and even when I'm up...

    Fighting Medieval Style

Nice :D I've got Hans Talhoffer's Fechtbuch from 1467, translated into English as "Medieval Combat". Illustrations from an earlier edition can be seen at Talhoffer's Fechtbuch - 1459 Edition.

    Blacks in Comic Books?

Do you just want superhero comics? If not, I suggest you read up on the infamous Tintin_in_the_Congo.

Tell me about the Harbinger Wraith

It's a good mini. Very solid, imposing and scary. Well, as scary as small piece of plastic can be. Will make a good Witch King.

Have you seen the aboleth mini?

I'd never thought I'd write "aboleth" and "cute" in the same sentence. Looks like a pokémon.

Just me, or are 4th ed Deluxe books...tacky? :/

I'm a sucker for limited editions. I have all the White Wolf ones, which come in nice slipcases, the CoC green book with the yellow pages and elder sign on the front, and several several deluxe comic collections (Far Side and Sandman). I would buy a similar quality 4e book, but frankly the ones...

Help me identify a music video (with zombies)

That's the one, thanks! It does sort of resemble Resident Evil.

Help me identify a music video (with zombies)

Thanks for the replies. It could've been a commercial, but there was nothing in there to say what. Is there a new Resident Evil game due out? It wasn't animated. The zombie and big fleshy thing might've been though - either CGI or stop motion, but might also be latex and very flexible actors...

Help me identify a music video (with zombies)

Hi, I was flipping though the music channels, and I caught the last few seconds of some weird video. Things I saw: 1) a headless zombie behind a window, maybe in an office or laboratory 2) people in hazmat suits, who then run away from... 3) ...a large fleshy thing that comes round a corner...

    Adventures for eight-year olds

Thanks for the advice. I'll let you know how it goes. We've rolled up the character. He's made a warlock called Snake  We'll start Saturday afternoon with The Sunken Citadel, but I'll be ready with some of the other suggestions here (I like the portal ideas) if he starts getting bored ;)

    Adventures for eight-year olds

I'll be DMing for my son this weekend, and I'm looking for advice. Here're the facts He's eight He loves Doctor Who, Ben 10 and Pokemon It'll just be him and me 3.5 rules, with simplifications as necessary I was thinking of running The Sunken Citadel, as it's straightforward and fun. I'll...

    Origins of D&D monsters

Also from Underworld Oracle. The gibberling and death dog are from there, maybe others (I've only got one issue). As an aside, I had some thoughts about slaad. Has it occurred to anyone else that they could easily be kappa, from Japanese mythology?

    Attributes

The one attribute I've never been comfortable with is Intelligence. That can easily come from the player. Replace it with perception, intuition or even just knowledge, depending on whether you have a wisdom-like stat. In the game system I'm forever redesigning, I have: 1) Physique 2) Prowess...

    The Acaeum

I go there occasionally. I don't find the prices helpful (partly because I'm in the UK, partly because there is so much variation in the prices things actually go for), but I find their background research excellent. Their forum section is also good, though with a higher troll population than here.

What are some of your favorite Magic Items from previous editions?

First, I love the physics defying ones: Portable Hole and Rod of Inertia (Immovable Rod in later editions). Second, I love items with quirks. Not just a +1 Sword, but a Sword +1, +4 Versus Reptiles! Forgotten Realms had loads of these. Third, Ioun Stones and Figurines of Wonderous Power...

Newer DM needs advice on Dungeon tiles

I have two sets of Ruins of the Wild and two of Streets of Shadow. Ruins is excellent, though, as others have said, you will need at least two sets to make anything big. I was slightly disappointed with Streets - one of my sets remains unopened. You get buildings on one side and sewers on the...

    Orangina: The perfect potion prop

I use those little salad dressing bottles which come with the more upmarket salads, pasta and patés. In the UK, you can get them at Waitrose. Some of them already come with a cork (look for anything with champagne vinegarette :p ). Taste better than Orangina, IMHO.
