    D&D 4E I like 4E math.

Maybe it's along the lines of the class bonuses that SW Saga Edition provides at 1st level? If you have levels in class X, you gain a +# class bonus to these defenses. If you multi-class, then you get the better of the two class bonuses. I am so digging how the d20 system runs in Saga Edition...

    Mutants and Masterminds, edition differences

Several. First big one is the costs of things, namely ability scores, feats and skills, with the later two being much cheaper (1pp per feet, 1pp per 4 skill ranks). Also, ability scores don't cap at 20. Next up is powers... Super [Ability Score] powers are gone (except Super Strength which...

    Great Game Quotes

LMAO A few from games long past... "Billy, why'd you have to go an' be a hero?" - Ol' Scabby, Mad Scientist/Prospector in Deadlands, lamenting the death of his younger brother. Much more hilarity ensued, with the player earning a one-use legend chip for his antics. "I want to be like Mike."...

Star Wars Galaxy Tiles: Anyone Have?

I'd figure they work as well as any of the various D&D tile packs would work together, if they are both set for the same size square (1 inch, which I believe they are).

    OotS 527.

"Oh, they're already dead... they just don't know it yet." Eric Draven, The Crow I guess this would fall into the category of "filler" strip for most, as there really wasn't much in the way of 'teh funny.' Then again, might just be me since I pegged from the 2nd strip that Haley couldn't see...

Star Wars question: Tribal humans -- Where? (Now with picture!)

Sticking within canon? Pretty much leaves you with Dathomir, which does work if your character is female. There were A'Shrad Hett and Tahiri, two Human Jedi that were initially raised by Tusken Raiders on Tatooine, so that is one potential avenue for a "savage Jedi." Bit of a stretch though...

Chris Pramas: Why wont GW/BL keep wfrp v2 on the market as pdf's?

Well considering one of the more popular nicknames for GW that I've heard over the years is "Greedy Weasels"... It is known that if you want to filthy rich, you don't go into the RPG market. We know WotC's big sellers are CCGS and CMG's, with RPG's probably being their least profitable product...

Which game is the most fun?

Seems to be a couple non-d20 options missing from that poll. Glaring omissions (to me at least) are... - HERO system - AEG's Roll'n'Keen for Legend of 5 Rings (particularly 3rd edition) and 7th Seas - WEG's d6 system Of the various non-d20 systems I've played, I've probably had the most fun...

It Starts (Splatbooks - Martial Power in October)

Hopefully they don't regurgitate AEG's L5R setting, and either brew up their own or revamp Kara-Tur from 1e. Don't get me wrong, L5R is a great setting and all... but it's a radically different mindset from d20 and where 4e looks to be going.

Flash Gordon after 19 episodes, Good or Not?

Tried to watch it when it started, and felt sick to my stomach at what I was seeing. Tried again recently, to see if maybe things got better... they didn't. So I guess for me it's come down to "don't watch it/don't care."

This Weekend @ the Boxoffice: 2008.Jan.28

Especially as the movie as already made it's money back and then some. Maybe it's a case of too many people complaining about the shaky-cam...

    Deadlands questions

Being a Deadlands veteran, I can honestly say avoid the d20 version like the plague that it is. Pinnacle/Great White even came out and admitted it was thrown together simply to try and cash in on the d20 blitz when 3e came out. I ran Classic Deadlands for several years, and had a blast...

Star Wars Galaxy Tiles: Anyone Have?

Picked up a set... and wound up buying a second set. The tiles are good quality cardstock, very durable, double-sided, and generic enough to be useful for most any set-up. There's also a few example floorplans/lay-outs on the inside of the packaging sleeve. As my own Star Wars game wrapped...

    SW Dawn of Defiance campaign

n short, I'm looking to run the Dawn of Defiance campaign that WotC has up on their web site. Pretty much starting at 1st level and going all the way through the entire campaign. Proposed location would be Zombie Planet itself, located at 1238 Central Ave, Albany NY. Day of the week and time...

    2007 Razzie Nominations

My recent problem with Eddie Murphy of late is that he seems much too focused on doing kid/family-friendly movies of late. Now his stuff as Donkey in the first two Shrek movies (haven't seen the third one yet) I really liked, but from Dr. Doolittle/Nutty Professor onward I can't really stand...

    Rate Cloverfield

Normally shaky-cam doesn't do anything more than annoy the heck out of me, so I figured I'd be fine, especially as I don't suffer from any kind of motion-sickness. This is the first time I felt any sort of physical pain from it. But then again, every other time I've sat thru a shaky-cam scene...

    Rate Cloverfield

Had to give this movie a 5, largely because the shaky-cam left me with a splitting headache early in the film, which doubtless ruined my enjoyment of it. Maybe a re-watch on DVD when I can pause it, down some aspirin, wait a bit, and pick the movie back up. I understand why it was down...

    Actor Heath Ledger dead

Agree wholeheartedly. Bitter and inappropriate as it may seem, I'm reminded of a Dennis Leary bit from one of his CD's. Where pretty much the musicians he liked died of drugs, but the ones he hated kept going. One particularly line was you could put Motley Crue in a room filled with a ton of...

    2007 Razzie Nominations

Looks like Eddie Murphy is practically guarenteed a Razzie this year, as he's nominated in pretty much every frakin' category. And looking through the list, I can proudly say the only one on that list I have seen is PotC: AWE. As for Orlando Bloom getting nominated... I thought he did pretty...

Will There Be a New Indiana Jones RPG?

Well, if WotC did nothing more than a CCG to tie-in with the Transformers movie, I wouldn't get my hopes for an Indiana Jones RPG, even assuming WotC has any kind of rights to do an RPG of that product. They'd probably have an easy time getting the license for a G.I. Joe or Transfromers RPG as...
