    New feats (considered for E6)

Miracle in *any* form (short of special reward from deity/demipower/etc) in an E6 game seems pretty extreme.

    New feats (considered for E6)

Those seem like some pretty extreme casting times. Unless you play a crafting-heavy game ("I craft me a new suit of armor while Mr. Wizard McCastyPants mutters for the next 24 hours!"), I think I'd make the casting time 1 hour, but require an 8-hour rest for the effects to kick in. Same effect...

    Good-Flavored Evil?

You might check Dicefreaks, I know they've expanded Truenamer into Epic.

Then let me enlighten you: it was still dreck, but Oscar-worthy compared to the first.

    Good-Flavored Evil?

It would depend on what deity/cause he serves, really. Undeath is an evil act (by D&D standards), period, but whether the paladin decides to smite the mummy even if he is goodly is entirely up to the paladin, and whether the deity would smite his paladinhood for him *not* smiting the mummy is...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

Add an "Extra Spell/Slot" feat that works for ToB classes? Seems simple enough, really.

    Buying Feats with XP

Keep in mind that Buy the Numbers converts the d20 leveling system and breaks it down so you buy all the components of leveling with XP, instead of leveling. I would agree its too cheap to use as an add-on to a more standard d20 game.

    Buying Feats with XP

Oh, sure, give the obvious answer.

    Buying Feats with XP

My only concern is that this would add another level of bookkeeping to the equation, "So, this is the 3rd feat you've bought? 4th?" A bit of a nit-picky issue I admit, but I'd rather avoid adding *more* things I have to track, personally.

    Buying Feats with XP

That one I suspect would require some serious playtesting to know for certain, but I'd say the best place to start is something like 30-40% of a levels XP. The other thing to consider is what type of game you run. If you use random encounters, or allow your characters free reign to go and do...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

I'm the wrong person to weigh in on this (as I severely dislike the magic item system of D&D anyway), but baring that bias in mind: opening the door to creating magic items that're beyond the PCs normal level is asking for trouble; magic items tend to be the single easiest breaking point in the...

    Awakening a familiar

Once an animal has this spell cast on it (or if an animal is a familiar), it ceases being an animal for purposes of the rules, and becomes a Magical beast. Thus, it doesn't meet the requirements of the spell (its not an animal or tree). As far as the tree question goes... same thing. Trees...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

Suppose the simplest answer would be to have at least two versions, one for character level, and one for BAB. The BAB one wouldn't actually *give* BAB, simply count for the purposes of meeting that feat prereq. As for one that covers Caster Level... Hm. Off the top of my head I can't think of...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

I wonder... what about a feat that'd allow the character to count as (level +1) for purposes of meeting feat prerequisites? The really odd thought is that eventually (assuming you're allowed to take it unlimited times and that it stacks), you could take about 15 of these and meet the...

    How Did You Start Playing?

Through most of my childhood, my mother owned and operated a hairstyling salon, and my school was about two blocks from it, so alot of my time was spent there. One of the women working there had a customer who played D&D, and used to run the occasional one-shot for me when he'd drop by for an...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

One thought regarding this system is how saves are handled. Generally the bump saves get in the first level of a class/PrC isn't that big a deal over the course of 20 levels, as things even out anyway, but 6 levels wouldn't really even anything out. This wouldn't be an issue for a single-class...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

That probably is a way to go, and keeping with what seems to have become the theme for E6, it should be a community project. It could start with a sort of outline, basically an outline of what a world governed by E6 rules would be like. Me personally, I suspect it'd be more "real," meaning...

    My SW SAGA house rules

My only knock against this would be that alot of the SE rules are designed to combat STR being a viable dump stat, and this takes a big chunk of that away. Jedi can already take weapon finesse, which works on all lightsabers, and Jedi Knight has a talent that gives Dex to damage instead of Str...
