So what did you think of 3.5 overall?

Voted a 5. Internal conistency of the game is sounder than previously. SRD is available for those who feel pressured into buying the books. Not converting old campaign, however thoroughly enjoying new game that we started with 3.5.

Which 3.5 changes are you NOT using?

amen to that. In my current game that I DM, I am not migrating to 3.0 - essentially with the PC's being well into the game (9th level) the only way to get them integrated was with a lot of grandfathering. So as a group, we elected not to change that campaign. That said, that means we're not...

    Supplements to run a kingdom?

more so than any other product, including BR, MMS:WE is the best for small landholdings. Essentially, at the manorial level, you have an absolute wealth of detail - whereas as you scale up, the level of detail (by necessity) decreases.

    [3.5] Converting Woes...? Ha!

dont even joke about it. I discovered two things back in the day, whn trying to negotiation a small room full of gamer.. 1. d4s make evil caltrops. 2. my ninja skillz are less than l337.

    Review of Monte's 3.5 Review...

One of the interesting comments a lot of people are making relates to the difficulty of converting characters. If your high-level character is going to be radically different under 3.5 than 3.0 - which is the case for some, and you are forced to change, then i think your problem is more with...

    Journeys To Other Planes

Greetings. The campaign I am currently running is a multi-planar campaign, which has had the players travel to several other alternate material planes. Before I started this campaign, I identified some issues which could cause problems - one of them being the "shopping trip" issue. Other...

    Tips for 1E, 2E DM in 3E

let the gm know that he shouldnt panic at the faster level advancement - but it takes a lot of getting used to. Also, if he has a rogue in the party, yes the rogue gets to sneak attack more than once in a round. Make sure hes prepard to deal with players creatign minor magic items at lowish...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

and there you have it. I suspect that If the player(s) had been less confontational about this, things may have proceeded differently.

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

A couple of point I got from mining the thread again: >>>>> 10. "The player would have a legitimate complaint, IMHO, if this tactic is overused. By the same token, if a player expects that this will never occur, or only occur in minor encounters, that is also not reasonable." I had never, in...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

the argument that characters should take the amount of time in-game that the players take out-of-game planning isnt a very good one. I normally allow some metagaming, and suspended-time planning, because it evens out the players vs. the dm. For example: The Gm knows whats going on. The Gm...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

wow. there has been some .... interesting viewpoints established here. I wasnt going to reply to this, as most of the key points were done, but as the last few pages have become a smack-tha-fu, I had to chip in. I think that fusangite was 100% in the right. (1) The players (not characters...

    The worst Roleplaying game ever!!!

Aaaaaaaarg!!!!! Not to sound grumpy, but could we keep this on topic? As in Q&A with Anthony Valterra? Posts to-ing and fro-ing about what peoples individual attitude towards sex/p0rn/fetshes/cultural norms, etc, etc, etc are what led to all the other threads on the BoEF being closed.... AV...

Fantasy Sex Roleplaying Game Releases October 2003

Word. I read 4 pages of the responses, got wound up. Took a walk to calm down. Read some more responses. More or less decided against replying, as any reply I could make would basically be having a go at someone - which is never the best idea, and especially in a thread as heated as this...
