The more I read about Arcana Unearthed...

Re: Fence Rider I was on the fence until I came up with the radical notion of waiting till it came out, reading a few reviews on it (although it would be best to get a broad sweep of reviews to avoid fanboyism), and then maybe buy it. Im sure it will be competent work - but less than certain...

    Arcana Unearthed - Truenames

interesting - in fact the most interesting diary entry to date. Especially the notion of the unnamed and raise dead. Still, can see any way to integrate it into my exisiting game, so it'll be a while before I use it. I'll probably buy it, but theres other things in the pipe that have priority -...

Kinda changing rules without telling players.

Interesting points Doc, while I have certainly disagreed with you in the past, I would be inclined to back you on this one. Why? You make the point that these are newbie PC's - they dont know very much about the world. Yes - they should know some basic legends. Doc gave them a roll, and...

    *Plunk* Thread Closed.

veering back on topic.... Morrus "Bored now" Elegant in its brevity, Zen-like in its clarity. Clearly an 8 Eric "Hey there - OT Polls" Polite, informative, and by the re-use of text also taking care to prevent OOS. An example to us all. However, there is no "car-crash" feel to this...

    shaman class?

mongoose and green ronin both have shaman books. I own the mongoose one - its pretty good. Read the GRR one, its good as well, but I prefer the feel of the Mongoose one. check the reviews of those products - theyre reasonably enlightning.

Dragon Bashing- Why is it en vogue?

amen to that. its not particularly good at the moment, but its still the first thing I look at... Other things i'd like to see? No more PrC's. Ever. (though thats a complaint more with d20 in general)

    When worlds collide...

our group has done this a couple of times, with mixed success. May I recommend that you appoint an authoratative GM (i.e. boss man) for some areas such as rules, canon sources, etc? Other than that, the usual stuff applies, you divvy up geographical areas, have some metaplots shared (admittedly...

    Are Avalanche Press products good?

waaaahh! the avalanche press cover discussion again.... Seriously though, Crothian has a valid point as regards to AP covering areas which no other publisher does. Like any publisher though, they have some ups and downs. I would recommend borrowing one (if you can) or getting one cheap...

    Dragon Subscription - UK

Hi tburdett. While you are quite correct that you did not directly accuse Paizo or other companies of criminal activity, advising people to take the actions you outlined, is an activity you need to take care with on a public board such as this. Your statement above could be taken as implying...

What happened to Fourecks' user id?

its not a terrible beer. it is however beer the has clearly been strained through the sweaty socks of beelzebub. only some dodgy sainsburys own brand beer 'bier de moulin" is worse.

    Geomancer

Err... in a slightly less inflammatory tone.... While I agree that the geomancer PrC falls short of the mark as being close to a ley-line/places of power sort of class (at least for me), and is just plain wierd, I wouldnt necessarily say it was seriously broken. IIRC, the spellcasting in...

political content in custom titles etc.

wot? an ozzie who can spell? If I recall correctly, Olive is a Kiwi - so his misspelling of 'Stralia is not so much an insult, but part of a long heritage of bagging you guys out, that you thoroughly deserve. Nyah nyah nyah.:D :p :p (damn, I hope it was olive who was the kiwi, otherwise...
