Not really. I've seen him get sanctions ranging from warnings, to mod edits to bannings (on more than one occasion). Admittedly the bannings are normally in response to BryonD.

I think the non-infrequent bannings of pro-4e regulars (Wis, I'm looking at you! :p) disagrees with you.

I know what you mean - though I ended up going the other way - having 2 under 2 meant that the "easier to DM" element of 4e was Very Important. (esp. after high level 3e)

I think "meaningless" is probably a bit much. However, the self-selecting nature of the poll severely limits the randomness of the sample. The result is that the poll can be used at best as a broad brush view of what enworlders are playing, who are a (large) subset of all d&d messageboard...

That's extraordinarily rude. Is it hard to understand that working on a product (the GSL) that does not necessarily have direct financial benefits for your company*, might be of lower priority than working on one that does (say the Character Builder)? (* yeh, yeah, network externalities, skaff...

Instead of people claiming that people are buying 4e but not playing it, we're back to claiming 4e isn't selling? interesting.... :p

Gels roughly with what thalmin said a little while ago about how things were selling. Reasonably reliable source as well. However.... I really, really wouldn't draw too much from this with regards to DDI/layoffs/success of 4e.
