    Misconceptions about 3.5...Answers

Interesting post. I do however note that all of your solutions are from outside the core 3 books (PHB2 and UA). Also, I think that most people's issues with 3.5 are a little more nuanced than that, so to refer to them as 'not correct' seems a little unfair. However - in the spirit of you post...

    ENWorld Edition Bias

Not really. I've seen him get sanctions ranging from warnings, to mod edits to bannings (on more than one occasion). Admittedly the bannings are normally in response to BryonD.

    ENWorld Edition Bias

I think the non-infrequent bannings of pro-4e regulars (Wis, I'm looking at you! :p) disagrees with you.

Did You Buy the First Three 4e Core Books?

I know what you mean - though I ended up going the other way - having 2 under 2 meant that the "easier to DM" element of 4e was Very Important. (esp. after high level 3e)

    Do you like edition wars?

Pish, tosh. People have been misusing NKL memes since kjtw. or before. And why would you bite the hand (or bottom) that.. err. I'll go now...

    Do you like edition wars?

I enjoyed them initially, in fact I recall basking in the bile that was spewed. Pretty bored with them now. I don't think that it's becuase most of the bile has been drained (it has), but that it's pretty much the same people saying the same thing. Edit - And it's Lemon Curry [Mr T] Fool! [/Mr T]

    Changeover Poll

I think "meaningless" is probably a bit much. However, the self-selecting nature of the poll severely limits the randomness of the sample. The result is that the poll can be used at best as a broad brush view of what enworlders are playing, who are a (large) subset of all d&d messageboard...

    Things I don't like about the 4E DMG - part 1 of 1000

Oddly enough, the DMG pretty much states this on page 98 - subheading "Let it go and move on". (I skimmed over much of the usual stuff in the thread - probably someone already posted this... )

Interesting post over at Grognardia today regarding Gail Gygax

TLR and Korgoth sitting in a tree..... Who would have thought we'd see the day? ;) EDIT - Oh, and well said. Both of you.

Interesting post over at Grognardia today regarding Gail Gygax

Note - I'm not referring especially to this thread or the linked thread with regards to this: I'm pretty disturbed by the attitude a lot of the fans have had to Gail since her husbands death. Frankly considering: (a) How she has always seemed to be a decent person (I mean the ENWorld D&D game...

    What's new with the GSL?

    An interesting interpretation.

    What's new with the GSL?

That's extraordinarily rude. Is it hard to understand that working on a product (the GSL) that does not necessarily have direct financial benefits for your company*, might be of lower priority than working on one that does (say the Character Builder)? (* yeh, yeah, network externalities, skaff...

Pramas: Does 4E have staying power?

Instead of people claiming that people are buying 4e but not playing it, we're back to claiming 4e isn't selling? interesting.... :p

Pramas: Does 4E have staying power?

Gels roughly with what thalmin said a little while ago about how things were selling. Reasonably reliable source as well. However.... I really, really wouldn't draw too much from this with regards to DDI/layoffs/success of 4e.
