    New feats (considered for E6)

I like the added skill ranks requirement. Skill ranks should be a requirement whenever possible when it comes to feats like this that grant the power to cast spells normally outside the E6 d20 System. I can't help but think that Spellcraft should be a requirement, too.

    New feats (considered for E6)

Wow! Practiced Spellcaster rocks! Even in non-E6 games. A must have feat in E6, for sure. Also, it makes me think my combat prowess feats are too weak and too complicated. EDIT: Actually, practiced spellcaster can't help a 6th level single-classed caster, so it's not as strong as I first...

    New feats (considered for E6)

Which sourcebooks are practiced spellcaster and practiced manifester in, Aage?

    New feats (considered for E6)

I believe this one is too powerful for the E6 d20 System. The ability to improve caster level by five levels with only one feat is too powerful for even standard DnD 3.5.

    New feats (considered for E6)

    * * * W A R N I N G * * * Gestalt Approach Material Follows: (And, it's probably beyond the limits of the Gestalt Approach at that...) What I think was a good point was presented by Ioreck in the other thread. I see your point, here, Ioreck. Eventually, the fighter is only ahead of SOME of the...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

I see your point, here, Ioreck. Eventually, the fighter is only ahead of SOME of the characters in terms of BAB or Fort Save. There has to be a way for fighters to improve ESPECIALLY if we're going to consider allowing casters to gain extra spell slots and/or improved caster level(s) via...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

I agree, Wolfpunk. There's plenty of lattitude in the CR's available as enemies at 6th level. Especially with 6-8 characters.

    New feats (considered for E6)

Ry, I like the ones that you presented. I, also, like Silard's Miracle Feat. The only thing that I'd change to the Miracle feat, though is this: I'd make the feat cost the XP and the character would also sacrifice the feat. In other words, a character uses the Miracle feat to cast an 8th...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

I'd LOVE to see that, Ry. I think that's something that's needed for E6.

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

Hey, Ryan. I was going over some of my notes and ran across a reference to the Crystal Keep PDF of Feats. If you haven't used this site, you might find it useful for E6. The Crystal Keep Book of Feats

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

Ryan, It sounds good so far, but can we change the wording, here, just a bit. "Them" at the end of that sentence sounds strange to me since we're talking about one manticore. Perhaps, this would work better? When you see a manticore, you, and your whole village must run, and you can only...

    Buying Feats with XP

Thanks. I may have to check out Buy the Numbers. It may be just what the doctor ordered.

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

I like it. The sales pitch for E6 needs to be pretty good for those that are still stuck in the idea that DnD must have 20+ levels to be DnD. I looked at the Bone Template. I could definitely make a lich from that that would strike fear into the hearts of the 4th level characters that are...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

Thank you for the suggestion. I have the Complete Warrior, so I'll take another look to see what would be available to a 6th level character. I'm looking through the Prestige Classes in the DMG right now to see what a character might be able to qualify for at 6th level that could be converted...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

OK. Thanks, Ryan. That's the answer I was looking for. I think keeping the rule on the stricter side avoids error... Erring on the side of caution, so-to-speak, is a little better. Thanks for stating that the bone template was in the BOVD in an earlier post. I couldn't remember where I'd...

    Buying Feats with XP

Unfortunately, you do have a point, Pyrex. I think I'm going to put this idea on hold for a while. The simplest solution would be to treat all characters as if they were gestalted with the fighter class as far as gaining feats goes (but without the restrictions of the fighter bonus feats in...

    E6: The Game Inside D&D

Ryan, In E6, have you tried allowing certain feats on a case by case basis that E6 characters couldn't normally qualify for? For example, Greater Weapon Focus and Greater Weapon Specialization from the 3.5 Player's Handbook don't seem to me like they would break E6. Would you allow them and...

    Buying Feats with XP

Great thoughts, so far, everyone. I like the ideas presented by EvilBob about delaying the ability to purchase feats until 6th level. Also, fixing the cost at 5,000 XP is not a bad option. It simplifies things a bit. Also, adding a level adjustment for every so many feats is a good idea, but...
