    Protection from Sunder?

I don't think this will help the OP tho, as you can't add 'dwarvencraft' after the item has been made.. but if you were making a new weapon...a +5 Dwarven crafted adamantine <weapon> with a greater Adamant weapon crystal would be pretty resistant to sunders (Hardness 44, +70hp)...

    PHB2 Feat Retraining question

IIRC, you can only retrain something if you could still be a 'legal' character. So a Fighter could not retrain his shield prof. nor could a Ranger retrain out of Track. However, a Ranger could retrain to change his combat style from TWF to ranged and a Wizard could change (or gain) his...

    Enervation

I think ya'll are overlooking something here. 6th level Wizard with 3x3rd level spells memorized. Takes 2 Negative levels, and loses 2 of those spells and has one that he can't cast now (CL not high enough). However, in X (Max15) number of hours, he loses those 2 Negative levels, and now...

No XP for summoned creatures, right?

But where does it actually make that link? I've searched and searched and couldn't find it. I've asked and asked, and have yet to find anyone who can point me to where it is stated that spell-like effect = spell-like ability...yet everyone (including me) plays it that way. they both use...

No XP for summoned creatures, right?

Technically, the dwarven ability reads: (from the SRD) So, what exactly is 'spell-like effects'? I've seen it ruled many, many times that this is just spell-like abilities--but I'm still not 100% sure that this is true. If it was, why didn't they just say 'spells and spell-like abilities'...

    Archmage spell-like ability

I don't know.giving up a 5th and a 9th level spell to be able to cast 2 9th level spells (all though they are the same one) seems like a good trade off to me......and you still have other 9th level spells to use normally. My original thought was to have 2 Meteor Swarms as SLA--still could work...

    Archmage spell-like ability

True. Just seems really, really odd that a Wizard based Archmage would use a SLA based on CHA instead of INT. Only in the MM does it specify the Save DC for SLA's. Niether the PHB or DMG mentions that in their description of SLA's. (I don't think I used enough acronyms :)). Of course, I'm...

    Archmage spell-like ability

The one I'm most confused about is #2. It doesn't say in the Archmage description of their SLA In the general rules for SLA's it mentions the CHA mod for monsters. Yep, meant spell focus. Note that the Archmage desrciption says (at least in the SRD) that "An archmage who selects this type of...

    Archmage spell-like ability

If an Archmage takes 'spell-like ability' as one of his High Arcana, how does the spell work? 1) Caster Level: Does it remain at the level the AM choose the High Arcana, or does it go up as the AM levels? 2) DC: 10+SL+Int Mod or 10+SL+Cha Mod (from the description of spell like ability) 3)...

    Free Hands and Casting Spells

I've always just assumed that part of the somatic getures were manipulating the materials. But then, I don't play spell casters alot...do (m)any spells exist that have a material component without a somatic component? (I'm betting there are..)

    To Walk/Hussle while moving silently?

personally, I dont' have a problem with it. If you are moving at less then your full speed, I'd assume you used the movement you didn't use to help with moving silently, thus 'only' a -5. Moving full speed, but not hustling, you don't have the extra movement to 'spend' being careful, so -10...

    To Walk/Hussle while moving silently?

Moving 30' can be considered hustling IF you do something else that turn.. from the srd note also, that you can move less than your full speed in your action...if you movement is 30', half speed is 15' (or less), Greater than half but less than full is 20'-25', and full speed is 30', while...

Hardness of Dwarven Plate Mail VS Rend Armor

It apparently was dwarven plate, which is made of adamantine..so Hardness 24, HP 60 for the +2 stuff. so, the Bebilith would on average do 8 points to the armor each time it got to rend..taking about 8 rounds or so to get thru it. even maxing it out every time would take 4 rounds

    Prc Technical Difficulties ???

Class Level always means level in a particular class (in this case, Mindbender) Character Level indicates total character level So, +2 (4/2) and rules of Thumb are not hard and fast rules, just general rules..some things can break them.

    Mithril bucker, or light shield

If you consider this from the FAQ I think this pretty much clearifies what WOTC intended with the buckler. When wearing a Buckler, the hand is free to wield a weapon. Being able to wield a weapon in a hand means you can cast a spell with that hand as well.
