Another thought might be where the kitten came from. Was it just abandoned in the hole by its mother, or did an owner lose it there (deliberately or by accident.). If somebody the characters' know left it there to die, perhaps it might be a clue as to the NPC's personality. There could be...
Is it raising or animating the dead nearby? Raising the dead (as in, akin to resurrection) has been associated with positive energy. Perhaps some kind of mummy lies beneath, one with clerical spells? Perhaps some remnant of the former priest king remains, wanting to keep a watchful eye over...
Mad God's Key from Dungeon magazine. The party all got killed by the undead rat pack. Too bad, was a real fun adventure too up until that point, went well with the Freeport flavor I was using.
A young daughter of a prominent nobleman or magistrate has begun seeing visions. Her visions are vivid and inspiring enough that it has got certain family members and staff within the household. The patriarch of the clan knows, and has to his best knowledge shut up and confined the girl from...
I've used gnomes pretty extensively, two PCs (one a cleric of Tymora and the other a bard) in a mostly dungeon game. The gnome bard really worked well with the party, both for mechanically (boosting and illusions) and flavor wise. One comedic lecture (inspire courage) he did in combat about not...
Generally Ravenloft enforces a strong code of ethics for players by hitting them with a chance to be corrupted by a powers check for doing things deemed unethical. Part of this code is alien to much of D&D, so if you're not up to the facing the forces of corruption, you have to be on your toes...
If you're wondering what the naruto characters might look like in M&M, there's a few writeups on the Atomic Think Tank (M&M's official messageboards) under Roll Call. Check out the anime and Taliesin's threads.
I think there was some kind of d20 naruto netbook floating around too. Not sure...
I would recommend Totentanz from Dungeon #90, for 4th level characters. My players had a hoot with that one. The dancing dead were macabre and interesting, and the Wraith King became a regular foe in my games. The players will never forget stripping the town of every door to create an...
I was thinking it might be fun to run a converted Dead Gods, perhaps proceeded by a converted Great Modron March, game that lead into the 3.5 adventure Expedition to the Demonweb Pits. That is, if you don't mind drow involvement.
I've seen fairly new 3.5 books get sold regularly on the cheap at the half-price books over in Richardon. DMG 2 seems to be the most frequent one, although a fair number of cheap "Races of" and some of the Eberron books get put up there frequently too.
I've never seen the show myself, but somebody on the Atomc Think Tank posted a thread with conversions for it: http://www.atomicthinktank.com/viewtopic.php?t=20885
Hi,
I'm looking for some gamers in the Dallas/Fort Worth region, specifically in the midcities area who are up for something a bit different from the usual D&D, maybe a Planescape game, Mutants and Masterminds, or a horror game. Thanks.
I ran a very successful Discworld game for 2E very long ago using the GURPS book as a reference, so I can attest to its usefulness. Might have some notes floating around somewhere if it might help anybody in their endeavors.
