ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ... Wait. Seriously?

    Moving diagonal 'through' enemie's squares

Yes, you can. Not quite. See, you have to determine if any line from your starting square passes through a square containing another creature. You can't just pick one possible line and be done with it. And if you check all of the lines that extend from your starting square to the destination...

    Moving diagonal 'through' enemie's squares

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted. You're correct.

Am I the only one who feels Eberron's setting to be limiting?

Eberron is heavily influenced by film noir, which is a very "dark" and "depressing" genre. Obviously, it's not to everyone's taste. Personally, I love it. So I'm afraid I can't really sympathize with your plight. I don't mind the fact that any character I create is going to have been...

    Enlightened Fist vs. Sacred Fist

Interesting. I concluded just the opposite. The Enlightened Fist definitely gets better class abilities, better (i.e., arcane) spells, doesn't suffer from the lame restriction on multiclassing, and isn't prohibited from using weapons as needed. Sure, the Sacred Fist benefits from the nice...

    Moving diagonal 'through' enemie's squares

The only limitation on running or charging through the "gap" is that you have to be moving in a straight line. So yes, it might be difficult, but it's certainly not impossible.

    Touch Attack while Grappling

It (really) means: "No walking around, holding the charge, for days on end." RAW purists can certainly argue differently, but that's the intent. If you find yourself in a grapple with an undischarged touch spell, you make your touch attack (at -4, of course) like you would with any other weapon.

    Eldritch Knight, Effective or Defective?

:) I just automatically read it like the rules on item creation that say "The creator must have the spell prepared." That is, I said to myself, "Oh, well they're just trying to make the rule comprehensible for people by assuming the most common situation--that of a single creator. Of course...

    Running with throwing weapons

I would use the Manyshot feat as an example, perhaps changing the Rapid Shot prerequisite to Quick Draw or TWF. Call it Manythrow or something. That would give you the ability to throw two (or more) axes as one standard action. This approach would also prevent the scout's skirmish ability...

    Moving diagonal 'through' enemie's squares

The error in your thinking here results from superimposing grid squares--which exist only in our fevered imaginations and for the purpose of simplifying tactical resolution--on the lines formed by such troops. What you have really done with your house rule is reduce the number of enemies...

    Eldritch Knight, Effective or Defective?

I agree that Hyp is (technically)correct as the rules are written...but does anyone know if this is actually the intent of the designers? It honestly never occurred to me to read these sections in any way other than with the underlying assumption that the character will be progressing...

Do enhancement bonuses to ability count against ability damage?

Nit: you don't have to be brought below Str 0 to die, just 0 is enough.

Anybody use the Craft Points Variant from UA?

It depends on the amount of downtime available in the campaign. If the campaign provides little or none, no one with any sense will take any Item Creation feats at all, so the introduction of Craft Points may make those (previously worthless) feats more attractive. On the other hand, if...

    Monks, flurry, and weapon finesse

Yes. Quarterstaves are not light weapons. You cannot use Weapon Finesse with a quarterstaff. No, they did not.

    Buckler Shield Bonus & Archers

Yes. You can carry (not use) a buckler while using a bow or crossbow without penalty. You can carry (not use) a buckler while wielding a weapon in the same hand, but you take a -1 penalty on attack rolls. In either case, you do not get the buckler's AC bonus (because you're not using it...

Can the gods strip a paladin of his class?

Sure. But that in no way implies that it's the deity who strips you of your paladin-y powers.

Your suggested caption is even worse, though! (Or can we not see in the picture that he's wearing a Pegasus cloak?)

    Contingency Healing

He's dead. The closest thing to an explicit rule on this point I can think of is (from the Renewal domain's special power): "If you fall below 0 hit points, you regain a number of hit points equal to 1d8 + your Charisma modifier. This supernatural ability functions once per day. If an attack...
