No, it does not increase in size. (FAQ, page 5.)

twf + flurry -- all unarmed?

I disagree with your premise. "Unarmed strike" is not a "single weapon." If you can point to something that establishes it is, however, I'll gladly revise my opinion. ("An unarmed strike is a light weapon..." doesn't do it, though.)

twf + flurry -- all unarmed?

We are talking about what the FAQ says, and the FAQ says quite clearly that monk's can make off-hand unarmed strikes.

GM's: what was your first module?

B1 In Search of the Unknown. The first one I played in was C1 The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan. I still remember how cool it was when the bat-statue bit down on someone's arm and drained blood to open the secret door.

twf + flurry -- all unarmed?

How does that follow? A monk can use any part of his body to make unarmed strikes, so using his right knee to flurry doesn't prevent him from making an off-hand (TWF) strike with his left fist. The analysis is simple: (1) A monk can flurry unarmed. (2) A monk can TWF unarmed. (3) Flurries and...

Question on Pro Evil and Improved Trip

Protection from evil suppresses the effects of (1) any enchantment (charm) spell, and (2) enchantment (compulsion) spells that grant the caster ongoing control over the subject. Sleep is a (compulsion) that does not grant ongoing control, so it is unaffected. Hold person is a (compulsion) that...

adjudicating 'darkness'... what did I do wrong?

Faerie fire is a 1st-level [Light] effect and does not function in the area of a 2nd-level [Darkness] effect (such as darkness). The spell description even mentions this specifically.

Trying to hide a readied action?

Agreed. Normally, I don't announce to players that an NPC "readies an action" or anything like that. If a PC became suspicious and asked for it, I'd probably allow a DC 20 Sense Motive check to get a "hunch" about what's going on, but that's it.

How long have you been a DM?

26 years, off and on again.

What do you think when DM introduces old PC as an NPC?

Clearly, it depends upon the DM. The idea is not "lame" per se, but it certainly can be so.

GMing: "getting Even" vs "getting it right"

I'm going to suggest to you that if this is what your players are choosing to spend their precious "plot points" on, they don't need to have any. Just something to think about.

    Skill checks and Aid Another

How can you be sure? You'll never know what the master would have painted without the assistant's help. Furthermore, the claim you're making about what happens in "real life" doesn't jibe with my experience. I use assistants (law clerks) in my work (attorney) all the time, and I don't mind...

    Strategy or role-playing game?

Truth at last! Now why can't the rest of you be as honest about it as The Shaman? :uhoh:

    Strategy or role-playing game?

I talk for a living...and I can guarantee you that I can't "talk as" a 15th level bard with a 24 Charisma and 18 ranks of Bluff or Diplomacy or whatever "talking skill" you want to imagine. Any more than I can jump like a 15th level monk. The distinction you and others are trying to make here...

    Restoration question

I could. :D Seriously, though, Infiniti2000 has it exactly right. If customer service said otherwise...well, it's certainly not the first time they've been wrong.

Spell slots: lower spells in higher slots

Yes. In fact, if his Intelligence happens to be 13, that's the only use of his 4th level slot(s) he's going to get.

Failing to meet prestige class requirements

This is the ruling I favor. In some cases, I would even make an exception for the (Su) and (Sp) abilities.

    Skill checks and Aid Another

Yes, you do. Until you can grasp this basic concept, your arguments will merely continue to demonstrate a total misunderstanding of what "Aid Another" is all about. ...giving the master a +2 bonus on his Craft (whatever) check. Yay! You got it! ...resulting in a +2 bonus to the chef's...
