    2-D maps or 3-D terrain?

I contacted Andrew of Dark-Platypus, and he was very accommodating. Apparently, the hinges are a known issue, and he is working very diligently to correct the problem. In hindsight, the price matches the grade of the product, and even Andrew admits that much to some extent. He elaborated on some...

    2-D maps or 3-D terrain?

OK, pretty disappointed with the Bendy Dungeon Walls. Some off the hinges already broke. They're really lightweight, almost too light such that they slide around too easily, which could be a problem when a player is reaching for his miniature. The light weight also makes it difficult to set up...

    2-D maps or 3-D terrain?

Never mind. I found it here . Another workaround that's much more practical, double-sided poster tape. I have a roll of this at home that I use for multiple things such as this. Just tear off a small piece and stick it to the bottom of a few wall pieces. I'll test this out and let you all know...

    2-D maps or 3-D terrain?

Oh great. Thanks for telling me this NOW! :P I don't think such a setup would be common, but you never know. I could see a few simple workarounds: 1. Place 1 perpendicular wall on each end. 2. Use some removable adhesive putty on the bottom of the ends. 3. Make whichever player shows up last...

    2-D maps or 3-D terrain?

JSYK, I should be getting my Bendy Dungeon Walls today and expect to play with them a bit this evening. If anyone is interested in their effectiveness, let me know, and I'll post something short and sweet in this thread. Regarding electronic set ups, their great from a geeky point of view, but...

    2-D maps or 3-D terrain?

I had the exact same problem, but then I realized a few things: 1. Approximations of room shapes are just as good. 2. Bendy Walls will help with those odd shapes 3. Placing the tiles and walls on top of a gridded mat such as a vinyl mat allow you to draw in the terrains for which tiles don't exist.

    2-D maps or 3-D terrain?

To the OP, have you tried WotC's 2D Dungeon Tiles? They're low cost, look great, and don't have walls that get in the way. They only limitation is the inability to have diagonal walls in the middle of a room, which is why I ordered some of those new Dungeon Life: Bendy Dungeon Walls.

Rules Compendium - is it out yet?

Chris Sims has communicted on several occasions that this book would not contain character options such as classes and feats, but it would contain rules that come up during gameplay specifically, which is why you won't find rules for things that are typically referenced away from the table. I...

Why we can't have simple B/W PDF's to print

Am I the only person with a printer that has an option to print grayscale only, which does not use any of the color ink to print black text?

I don't think Exemplars of Evil is doing that hot

For the most part. No brick-and-mortar stores I know of still carry it.

Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, for one. Luckily it's available as a PDF now.

Exemplars of Evil map gallery (Glyfair thinks they're too small)

Hrphm. I'm still waiting on maps for Eyes of the Lich Queen, and I'm getting ready to run it in two weeks.

    Sentient gem from outer space

I would go the route of something psionically oriented. You could probably borrow some elements from the Legend of Sardior series on WotC's Web site. It should at least be intelligent, perhaps akin to a psicrystal, but with a theme of telepathic powers.

What would YOUR World of Darkness look like?

Very fully aware. Underworld just reinforced my negative attitude toward Vampire/Werewolf WoD chronicles.

What art do you like from Exemplars of Evil?

I think I spotted a kython from the Book of Vile Darkness. "The Thing in the Hold" from Exemplars of Evil Kythons from Book of Vile Darkness It'll be interesting to see if they updated them to 3.5 (they're a bit broken in 3.0). It also looks like there's a bloodbloater (an ooze from Fiend...

What would YOUR World of Darkness look like?

Personally, I'mnot a big fan of the Underworld-like flavor of Vampire or Werewolf. I prefer core/mortal WoD. I've considered some of the other concepts, but there's something really appealing about a mortal stumbling across the darker or mythical side of the world and struggling with the...

    Age of Worms AP?

Let me ad to that. When you purchase a PDF copy of an issue, you actually purchase a zip file containing PDF copies of each article. Thus, you can effectively have each part of the AoW AP as a seperate PDF store independently of the rest of the issue, which effectively gives you the AoW campaign...
