30 levels what will it mean to spellcasters?

I could see this all being attributed to reserve feats being a core concept. Reserve feats are eligible as wizard bonus feats, and they keep a wizard in the game even though most of their spells might be depleted.

D&D 4E What Will The First 4e Computer Game Be?

I would love to see an Eberron game that takes place in Sharn, City of Towers. Imagine lifts, skybridges, skyoaches, soarsleds, massive towers, a floating quarter, dark seedy lower levels, and an Undersharn for dungeon delving. It's huge and very densely populated!

30 levels what will it mean to spellcasters?

One of the articles mentioned that the 30 levels is to build epic levels into the core rules rather than to extend non-epic levels by another 10.

D&D 4E 4E: What we think we know

Any one else notice that this 'release' doesn't have the standard boilerplate that press releases usually have?

    D&D 4E Will you buy 4e?

IF I buy 4e, it'll be core only. I think I'll also avoid setting books despite how much I love Eberron. I'd rather try my hand at creating my own setting so I don't have to worry about researching someone else's setting. On the other hand, I might keep going with 3.5e and do the same with all...

It's going to be hard to compete with Kobold Quarterly and Pathfinder.

Paladin + Monk + Druid + Sorcerer: a good party?

Clerics really aren't that necessary. The party can just as easily purchase healing potions. My current Eberron campaign doesn't include a cleric and they do just fine. The sorcerer could substitute a rogue with the right spells. My only concern would be with a druid in an urban campaign. Is...

    eberron poster map?

Dungeon 113, but it's out of print. I don't know if the PDf version includes it. The Eberron DM screen has a map of Khorvaire.

Why do they bother putting up Map previews?

Any chance we'll see hi-res maps for Eyes of the Lich Queen?

Did anyone here come into gaming *through* computers?

I can't believe I forgot this. My aunt had an old D&D game for DOS that was completely text based and used an ASCII map with an asterisk for movement through dungeons. I was maybe 9 years old at the time and remember being glued to that amber screen for hours at a time.

Did anyone here come into gaming *through* computers?

I first started with Baldur's Gate knowing next to nothing about D&D. When 3.0 came out, my friend new I loved the game and asked if I would be interested in playing the new edition of D&D. I said sure why not and have been hooked since. Neverwinter Nights was good, but I have yet to meet a game...

Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk

I feel ashamed to admit this, but I had dropped Greyhawk in favor of Eberron due to limited player support for Greyhawk as the "core setting" beyond references to deities. Despite that, I might have to still purchase this book. I might even have to run a side campaign and pull out my poster map...

Rules Compendium - what do we expect?

The only problem is that the Spell Compendium doesn't include core spells and the Magic Item Compendium doesn't include DMG items. I anticipate this book containing rules that govern the game, including core rules such as Surroundings, Weather, and Environment; Carrying Capacities, Movement...

Dragons of Krynn PDF for sale on DriveThru!

I'm not very familiar with the Dragonlance setting. I have nothing against it, I just never took the initiative to explore it. I tend to stay away from settings that are laden with history and novels. Having said all that, I've been on dragon kick lately, especially with the dragon-themed books...
