    D&D 4e PDFs at RPGNow

They are not mutually exclusive. Original Electronic File is a PDF that is created from a source layout document rather than a scanned hardcopy; it's pure digital goodness. Watermarked simply means that they mark the PDF with your information (usually account ID) so that if you distribute it...

    D&D 4e PDFs at RPGNow

The solution is not in your answer. Rules Compendium does not include errata for other books. For example, errata for the scount in Complete Adventurer or for the Artificer in the Eberron Campaign Setting is not included.

I wish they'd include errata for 3e PDFs, too.

That might not be a sale price. A lot of the publishers put the cover price crossed off with the PDF price underneath. In either case, the current price is comparable to Amazon prices.

Except the SRD doesn't include experience point charts, spell area templates, various monsters, and a bunch of other stuff that is available in the 3e core rulebooks.

Apparently, not only will the PDFs have bookmarks, but they will contain links, too. I'd like to know if they'll update them with errata. What's interesting is that they released the core rulebooks first for 4e, and they've never released the core rulebooks for 3e.

There are no PDFs listed, but a section was recently created. http://enworld.rpgnow.com/index.php?cPath=4500 Edit: PDFs are now available.

    Who's Ashardalon?

Don't leave out the connection in Magic of Incarnum. The Bastion of Souls is also a source of incarnum and Ashardalon was seeking its power.

    D&D Intiative...Master Tools 2008?

Uhhh, not quite. Right. WotC contracted with Fluid to develop MasterTools, and the entire design and development process was bloated, which led to MasterTools being delayed, over budget, and dropped. They then released a very stripped down tool called E-Tools. Fluid was supposed to release...

    Forked Thread: Three more days

The sad thing is that if I wanted to start a thoughtful compare and contrast of things I liked and disliked between 4e and 3e, it would be considered an edition war thread. The ban was good to get the boards under control because they were too heated. We can't ban topics forever just because...

    Forked Thread: Three more days

And with the new ability to fork threads, it's even easier to continue an edition war conversation without derailing a thread.

    D&D Intiative...Master Tools 2008?

Something else to consider... WotC had supposedly designed 4e to also be relatively compatible with a database structure, particularly in the area of rules consistency. The lack of database compatibility and rules consistency in 3e (despite it's many merits regarding consistency) was what made...

    D&D Intiative...Master Tools 2008?

To be clear, we're talking about the software components, not the articles. It's also not too early to cry vaporware when they've already announced that the Game Table won't be available until later this year, and that's being optimistic since software is usually late and never early...

    D&D Intiative...Master Tools 2008?

Just to add to the thread... I see the current D&DI Rules Compendium as the analogy of the MasterTools Character Generator demo that came with the 3.0 PHB. I see the screenshots of the rest of D&DI as an analogy to the many screenshots we saw for MasterTools. I see the posts and articles...

It tried to pick all three which is why it failed.

Dragon 365 - Bazaar of the Bizarre: The Treasure of Ashardalon

It's interesting to see how much life Ashardalon has been given since 3e. Ashardalon was a key component in the 3.0 adventure modules, especially Bastion of Broken Souls. Draconomicon had a PrC based on him. Magic of Incarnum attributes the Bastion of Souls as one of the sources of incarnum...

    Die Rolls or Point-Buy

I used to love rolls. Wild, chaotic, but unreliable. Then point buy came into my life. It gave me exactly what I wanted, but it was undisciplined in its own way. Finally, I tried elite array, and things have been great every since.

Looking for Crystal and/or Runic material

In that case, I think Dreamscarred Press has some crystal themed options throughout some of its products. There's some decent stuff in WotC's Mind's Eye archive, too. The Crystal Master PrC is a good one.

    The 3e “basic sets”

Yeah, I know, but I didn't know about the Adventure Game until after I had already started playing 3e, which was also well before the 3.5 Basic Game was released.
