" I love the TenderCrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch..."

I had Steak N Shake once when I was on a business trip up north and I didn't think it was all that great. I'd probably rather get McDonalds or BK.

" I love the TenderCrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch..."

I'm surprised they're that widespread. I had the impression they were pretty much confined to the south central part of the country.

Best Damned Burger In the Area?

"Porky's" in my hometown: Fredericksburg, Texas. That's good eatin'! Simple place with a few varieties of burgers but it's always packed.

RPM, PCGen, DM Genie Which should I go with?

Hmmm, I think it was something like 5.2. It was whatever was current around November-December 2004. Edit: It isn't so much response time that I recall having a problem with most recently, but rather the interface being awkward to work with in some respects and not terribly intuitive. One...

    Druidic Bard and Prestige Druids?

I have "Celtic Age" but not "Slaine". I looked in Unearthed Arcana this morning but didn't see the prestige druid. There were prestige paladins and rangers, but no prestige druid that I saw. I'm torn between wanting to keep bards from becoming more powerful spellcasters and allowing for...

    A Magical Society: Beast Builder

I'm SHOCKED! Shocked, I tell you! Actually the silk road one sounds interesting. I'm nuts for anything Roman and I'd really like to see a Rome "Magical Society" book. It wouldn't really be very similar to the MMS book. Roman population dynamics were different as they were more urban...

What type bug freaks you out? Most painful?

Wasps and their relatives. When I was a small boy (5-7 years old or thereabouts), my father asked me to turn on the water hose for him. The faucet was hidden behind a bush of the kind you use for topiary. I brushed up against it reaching behind it and out came a swarm of wasps that proceeded...

Writer/librarian seeking work in Atlanta area.

Contracting seems to be the wave of the future everywhere. Most places seem to use one or a very few companies exclusively so its best to see if you can find out which ones places you want to work at are using. Then you can go to them and try to convince them to place you. Note that they'll...

" I love the TenderCrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch..."

I don't either. For fast food, I patronize a number of different local/regional chains like Sonic and Whataburger. I find their food tends to taste better than anything I get from the national chains. Tastes vary, of course, but that's my opinion.

RPM, PCGen, DM Genie Which should I go with?

I've used PCGen but I hesitate to recommend it. It seems fairly flexible and you can get the datasets from codemonkey, but it's not really user friendly and the interface seems painfully slow and clunky at times. It really needs to have its front end redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up.

" I love the TenderCrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch..."

I rather like the commercial simply because its got a nice, pleasant song with nobody screaming at me or any of the other jarring tricks most commercials use to try to get your attention, "sell you" and fix their product in your mind. I don't know where the song originally came from or what it...

Yrth, actually. Unless they've changed it for 4th edition.

    A Magical Society: Beast Builder

This looks interesting. I'll have to remember to order a copy. Speaking of X-Press though, is there going to be a Magical Medieval Society book for ancient Rome? I suppose it would be called Magical Roman Society or something like that.

    Fantastic Fauna and Flora

The Forgotten Realms had a number of unique plants, trees and critters of various kinds spread across its books, especially the 2nd edition books. For my upcoming homebrew I'm planning on including a plant that has insect-repelling properties. I have not created a lot of details for it yet...

    Planet names of Settings

As I recall, the moon in the FR is known as Selune like the goddess and there are some little asteroid type things near it that are known as "Selune's Tears") Isn't this one Tellene?

    Druidic Bard and Prestige Druids?

The celts had three "grades" of druids: Bards, Ovates and Druids. You didn't start out as a druid, you had to go through years of training and work your way up through the grades to become a druid. I'd like to emulate this sort of progression in my new campaign setting. This presents certain...

    Non Server Based CMS?

Does anyone know of a CMS for websites that isn't based on the server? I know you can get some that run on the server and generate pages from a database but those require that your hosting service have the ability to run databases and other software. I get more than enough webspace for my...

    Stargate Atlantis:Season Finale {Spoiler Talk} 25.03.05

I'm expecting the Daedalus to show up and save Shepherd at the last moment. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks they ought to to send the Daedalus to take the Genai gate at the first opportunity, preferably accompanied by a warning that if they keep screwing with Earth/Atlantis, they might...

    Stargate Atlantis {Spoiler Talk} 18.03.05

Honestly, while I would also like this the folks I really want to see get a smackdown is the Genai. The writers have done a very good job of making me hate them with a passion.

    Monty Python's Top 20 sketches

No, there isn't. On occasion I end up watching "America's Funniest Home Videos". For those who aren't familiar with it, they end up picking three videos each episode for the audience to vote on and then they award cash prizes to them based on their place in the voting. Every time I see it, it...
