    Monks and Stunning Fist

Thanks for the info. I was thinking it seemed OK, but wasn't sure about the DC and wanted some "eye-witness" reports. But at 20 (5 for lvl, 3 for wis, 2 for ability focus) at lvl 10, it seems otent enough to be effective.

    Attacking Grapplers

Actually it is a very reasonable house rule, if a house rule at all. From the SRD on sneak attack (the first sentence): Sneak Attack If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she CAN strike a vital spot for extra damage. (emphasis mine)...

D&D 3.x Can a Monk use the Improved Natural Attack feat (from the MM 3.5)

I agree, this is one of those issues that gets deeply into sematics; it will end up being decided by the individual DM. From what is written arguements can be made either way, it depends on how you "want" to interprete it; unless an errata is given, which is probably unneccessary.

    Monks and Stunning Fist

Is the stunning fist feat viable for monks at higher level? a second level monk, with 14 wisdom, has 2 stunning fist attempts with a fort DC of 13. This seems to be OK, fort saves arent usually too high at this point for most opponents. But, a tenth level monk, with 16 wisdom, has 10 stunning...

D&D 3.x Can a Monk use the Improved Natural Attack feat (from the MM 3.5)

Maybe, but aren't most slam natural weapons, just hitting with a fist (or other such appendage)? If the fist of a zombie is a natural weapon than the fist of the human that turned into the zombie should also bee a natural weapon. from the SRD: Slap or Slam The creature batters opponents with...

D&D 3.x Can a Monk use the Improved Natural Attack feat (from the MM 3.5)

From this quote, I would say the the monk is "treated" as having a natural weapon for the effect granted by this feat.

D&D 3.x Can a Monk use the Improved Natural Attack feat (from the MM 3.5)

With that wording, unless is was specifically stated otherwise somewhere, I would say "yes"

    Attacking Grapplers

Where/what are the rules on attacking an enemy engaged in a grapple with someone else (not one grappler attacking the other). I could have sworn I saw it before in the PHB, but can't find it again. I think it provides a base 50/50 chance of hitting either one, then modifies it for size...

    Releasing Animal Companiopns

Thanks for agreeing, but that assessment may be a bit harsh, he's not much of a jerk at least... Making house rules on the fly is something that has to happen (which in this case may not be a house rule, just a rules interpretation); especially since the DM hasn't had much experience with...

    Releasing Animal Companiopns

Be careful swithching animal companion (well if you have my DM anyway). I recently releasd my Druid's animal companion due to repeated death; it was a tiger in an 11th level campaign, the DM likes to throw difficult combats our way (which I like) and the animal companion was not able to keep...

    A rant on ASF

Actually, from your rant which I tend to agree with, it would suggest that instead of arcan spell faliure, it would be better to impose a concentration check for mages wearing armor. This could be a base value for each category of armor influenced by the ACP (maybe doubled) of the armor if not...

D&D 3.x 3.5 Druids - what to do about them?

    Advancing famaliars

Thanks for the responses and clarifications. Is there a way to get them feats? If the character took fly-by attack, could the familiar have it? Or conversely, could the charatcre "give" a feat to the familiar (ie. fly-by attack)? Just trying to figure out the bounds here.

D&D 3.x 3.5 Druids - what to do about them?

...or get yourself a monk's belt or, even better, multiclass to monk. I am currently playing a druid 11, that is multiclassing to monk starting at 12. That wisdom to AC thing ain't to cr@ppy for a high wisdom druid. Also, it works well with a "melee" focussed druid. The charcter actually...

    Advancing famaliars

Do famialiars gain feats, skills, and inherant ability raises? I am thinking of playing a sorc and am wondering if his pseudodragon familiar can eventually get the fly-by attack feat and if it will gain skills.

    Ranger Combat Styles

Wildshape combat style So I am currently playing a druis, that is going to multiclass to ranger. The character concept is a wildshaper that fights in tiger form. Anyone ever deisgn a combat style for wildshaping? How about this to start: Wildshape style rgr 2: multiattack rgr 6: improved...
