    D&D 3.x Dragon Disciple 3.5 Analysis

One problem is that you are deconstruting the class and looking at it from nothing but a raw power perspective. The dragon Diasciple is a cool class, hands down; you end up as a frikkin' half-dragon (and dragon is in the name of the game). Looking from just a power gaming point of view looses...

    +3 Defender - Usage

Personally, I think that would be perfectly feasible. Anytime the character is weilding the weapon they should be able to get the AC bonus. Of course, there is the whole issue of the masterwork enhancement bonus. There was a recent thread on defending weapons and getting the masterwork bonus...

    Character Build: Dragon Disciple

Sorry, my bad, I though it gave +20 to all attacks for the next round. Does it show I don't play casters much?

    Character Build: Dragon Disciple

Monk/Sorc/DD I like this idea. Stat: STR 18 DEX 18 Con 15+1 Int 10 Wis 13 CHA 12 take monk 6/Sorc 1 (This way, with a mok's belt you get 2 extra flurry attacks at no penalty, for d10 damage) then start on DD. take shield and true strike for the sorc spells, try to get a rod of extend spell...

Bag of Holding, how to make it last?

You can wlays bring some elather and twine to ue to cover miscelaneaous items you find. I play and archer with a hewrds haversack, he keeps about 160 extra arrows in it, wrapped in hide to proteect the bag.

    Half Fiend Warmage......thoughts!

I'll comment on yours if you comment on mine (druid/monk) :) The Fiend gets a bonus to Intelligence and charisma, so you can get an advantage to several different arcane spell classes; obviously sorcerer and wizard are front choices. Witht eh larger bonus going to int, the wizard may be the...

    Polymorph Best Choice

Hands down, an Ogre mage is better than a 4th level barb regular Ogre. The Ogre Mage has regeneration 5, that ain't cr@p, and can fly! There's a reason why they are CR 8

    Defending weapon property

What overlap rule? I know about stacking rules; the masterwork bonus still exists, but does not stack with the enhancement bonus of a magic weapon. You get the larger bonus only, when you transfer the magical enhancement bonus to AC, the masterwork bonus still exists and is now the larger...

    Defending weapon property

Ok, then I just transfer 2 of the +2 defending weapon's bonus to may armor class, not ALL of it. So I get +2 to AC and still have the +1 Masterwork bonus to hit.

    Items and Polymorph

Well, technically, a slotless item like a stone of good luck is appropraite for every form. How is a stone that you don't have to have in any particular slot, more or less appropriate for a different body shape? I think a better arguement, and what you may have been getting at, is are the...

    Items and Polymorph

What about slotless items? So I know the rules on slotted items, but what about unslotted ones? What about a slotless item such as a "stone of goodluck" or a "pearl of power"? The activated "ioun stone" is a no brainer, but what about unactivated?

    Druid/Monk

So i am currently playing a druid 11, we started at 3rd and he has advanced through 2 campaigns to his current level. We are restricted to core only, no outside PrCs or feats of any kind (I tried to talk the DM to allow PrCs on a "case-by-case" basis, but he nixed that). The character...

A Radical (Not to Mention Controversial) Change to Characteristic Determination

I have to aggree with genshou about the probability issue. Using that many dice to roll stats you are going to hit average just about every time. Getting a 90 strength (equivalent to 18 for a human) would be nigh on impossible. Basically evryone is going to be very vanilla. Too many dice =...

    Resurgence and timing

Obviously the DM wants the characters blind for some reason, so any arguements may fall deaf ears... The spell allows a reflex save for half damage and the same save negates the blindess, so (if played correctly) you should have had a save for each beam. Logically, once blinded by the bright...
