stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. II [IC]

Janis looks down her nose at the expedition leader before dismounting. The mist made the witch's pale, fine hair hang limp in the torchlight, and the cast shadows of torches danced across her face dangerously. "Perhaps you'd rather wait until we break our fast tomorrow for word and rumor, when...

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. II [OOC]

Subscribing. Edit: Give Janis three words and I think she could start a war.

Flash Gordon after 19 episodes, Good or Not?

I think that it's definitely improving, which is better than it getting worse (if that's possible). It's at least as good lately as some of the more annoying Farscape episodes I've watched and the last season of Stargate, even if the show started off about as poorly as anything I've ever watched.

    Zero Divide (OOC Discussion)

Ah, the good Doctor Tighe. Seriously, seriously retro. :)

Zero Divide: Episode #2 "Black Star"

Alan smiles and shrugs at the Commanders critique of his conversation and follows her inside. Casually grabbing a beer and taking a long swig, he follows with some food and wanders around the apartment looking for another computer to use - quietly humming songs from The Police as he peeks into...

Zero Divide: Episode #2 "Black Star"

Alan follows the Commander to the edge of the platform overlooking the city. "Pretty," he says, breathing deeply as if to savor the air and essence of the city. "Well then...I suppose our friend Mr. Death will be looking over my shoulder after all, because I may be many things but dead isn't...

Zero Divide: Episode #2 "Black Star"

Alan taps his head. "If I have then I've forgotten. Weird sim, remember?" Alan gets up and stretches. "Commander Ashana, your little box was able to tell you who I am - any chance it can tell you where I was last supposed to be?" He follows the militant Junians out of the craft. "I'm...

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

Janis snorts crossly. "I told you I could and would. It's no worse than the blinding fever I caught when I was ten, or any of a myriad of riding accidents." The aristocratic witch frowned. "Though the consequences are a bit more troubling, I admit." Janis rubs a sore spot on her face. "Gods...

Zero Divide: Episode #2 "Black Star"

Alan looks forward critically before twisting his face into an amused expression. "Maybe they've passed the talking part already?" "That's the whole point of a cartel, isn't it? A collusion of interested parties? What are they peddling that makes it worth the effort then? Or is it just your...

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

Janis clears her throat. "Ahem. It appears that our friends this morning have given me a gift after all." She strokes the gnarled fur of Edi soothingly. "Be calm, Edi."

Zero Divide: Episode #2 "Black Star"

Alan shrugs. "The Gorvahn, they keep people like the Commander from shutting them down by watching the people who watch them and making sure they're dangerously busy?" "Nothing exceeds like excess?"

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

Janis laughs. "It's not about trophies, Marot. It's about education. These people have been scared, beaten, and ill-used. Some of them have apparently even helped their enemies. They need to be shown that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and they also need to come to understand that...

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

Janis grins, making her face look suddenly and surprisingly young-looking. "Good! We're agreed then?" Janis wipes her hands figuratively and begins to assay the manner she might drag a large deceased demon into the middle of town. "Don't worry, Jarrith. I shall protect you from the ill...

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

"Whatever else it makes the townspeople think of us, these people's families deserve to know what happened to them and to be able to mourn them." "If necessary, I'll speak to them and take responsibility. They need to understand what's at stake here, and the consequences of allowing...

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

Janis mutters a spell and starts healing the worst wounded of the group. OOC: Mass Lesser Vigor for Ashlyn, Marot, and Ladreth

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [OOC]

Actually, I'm not headed toward mystic theurge with Janis. The only reason she has the Wizard level in the first place is because she reconfigured after the game already started and I started panicking about the prospect of getting anywhere in this game with a low hit point, low Fort save...

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [OOC]

What's the point in upping the save DCs of Janis's pitiful amount of 1st level arcane spells? :p

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

Searching her repertoire for more magical effects that might hurt the beast, Janis summons darts of unerring arcane energy to strike at the fiend. OOC: 10% Arcane Spell Failure, Magic Missile CL1, kicking it old skool.

stonegod's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Ch. I [IC]

Janis frowns and changes posture. Uttering her incantation, her hair whips around tossed by an invisible wind and the smell of dew fills the air for a moment as a paler, less substantial bolt of energy than usual leaves The Stormhand's palm and touches the beast. A worming white residue stains...
