How would you remake the D&D cartoon?

I'm just happy we're getting a Dragonlance cartoon. I hope it's successful and we see sequels.

Pathfinder 1E FREE PAIZO PDF - Player's Guide to Rise of the Runelords

We use Action Points. Same progression as listed in the Eberron campaign setting, but it requires two action points to "cheat death" (one when you get below zero and another when you hit -10). One issue I've had since running or playing in Age of Worms, Shackled City, Savage Tide and now War...

Rules Compendium - what do we expect?

I think a book compiling new and existing non-PHB feats (broken down by metamagic, divine, racial, tactical, etc) and alternate class features could easily take up 160 pages.

"How to make a Monster Manual Pt II" article

Maybe these articles and "redesigns" are arguments for a new, revised Monster Manual 1....

"Tears of the Burning Sky" delayed

We've been playing since March and we're only now finishing up the Indomitable Fire Forest of Innetondar. I would rather see a quality product.

    Cover of City of Stormreach

Cool. My first character I played at the launch of D&D Online: Stormreach was a warforged wizard inspired by WAR. (His name is 'Focus'.) IMO a warforged wizard is the most unique fantasy elements of D&D (and in MMO's in particular): how often do you get to play constructs that cast spells?

Is Dread Necromancer a good choice for an Eldritch Theurge?

From a Powergaming Perspecitve, the real question you have to pose when deciding to build a Dread Necromancer / Warlock / Eldtrich Theurge build is this: Should Undead Mastery apply to The Dead Walk? If the answer is Yes, which makes sense thematically even if it isn't RAW, then you have a...

What size groups are you most comfortable DMing for?

I have run Meetup hackfests for more than 12 people (running Savage Tide). In fact, I personally like doing it. But it's not the same experience at all. It's like comparing apples and oranges. If you go into a game with 12 people expecting the same experience as a game with 4-6, you're going...

    Wizards 2008 releases?

Thanks for the words of wisdom Keith. On a somewhat related sidenote (and probably better for a discussion elsewhere) is it just me or do most of the adventures from Dungeon and novels from WotC lean more towards the Maltese Falcon, murder-mystery noire side and less towards the over-the-top...

New book: Worlds and Monsters - any ideas?

I think this book is going to offer sneak previews of changes we'll see in 4th edition for the new monsters and worlds of D&D. I think it will be designed for players who aren't online much, somehow heard a 4th edition is coming out (perhaps from reading this book at the bookstore) and have no...

First take - Crown of the Kobold King

Will do. There are some other oddities in the way the ongoing subscription comes up in my account, but I'll reserve those complaints for your billing department.

Your Experiences with Non Core Characters

I'm currently playing: Archivist (Heroes of Horror) An extremely versatile spellcaster. Better than a wizard in many cases, IMNSHO. Beguiler (PHB 2) Finally, a favored class for gnomes. Very fun so far, especially if you like illusion spells. Shadow conjuration/evocation are especially useful.

First take - Crown of the Kobold King

This has always bothered me with Dungeon adventures. I'm hoping that Pathfinder improves this, but I doubt it. It seems like their concern for word count scatters relavant information when I'm trying to run their adventures. By comparison, I think the adventures from the War of the Burning...

    A Practical Guide to Monsters

My 11 year old son reads the Knights of the Silver Dragon books, but he also plays in one of the campaigns I run (taking place in the Sword Coast North of FR) and he's trying to start his own basic game with a few of his friends. My daughter is 7, and she's just now starting to read the New...

Wizards of the Coast/Kenzer & Company License Agreements Expiring

Will we see more d20 articles and adventures in Knights of the Dinner table now that Hackmaster is...."changing"? Hackmaster just isn't my cup of tea, and seeing the magazine with old hacked D&D stats has always turned me off. Love the comics, and I like reading d20 articles (the uses for...

Wizards of the Coast/Kenzer & Company License Agreements Expiring

Bummer. When the Dragon cancellation was announced, Jolly Blackburn came on and said that the Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine might publish more D&D material. Right now there are occasional Kalamar articles, but with their license they could have added "official" D&D material in their...
