Businesses saying keep the rowdy children at home.

Come on, man. No one said you can't have a different opinion. But if you opinion differs from that of others then they just might like to discuss it with you. That is all I see here, people discussing opinions on the subject. There was one post asking if you were trolling, but I think it was a...

    LOST - Wednesday 11/9/05 {Spoilers for this ep and previous eps ONLY!}

Good episode. Not great, but good. I was just about to start liking Shannon by the end, and I expect they did that on purpose. John Crichton, your comments on her journey being complete make sense. I like your thinking. I expect the next episode will consist of Anna explaining her actions...

    Wacky workplace "amenities"

That reminded me, part of my office (a law firm) used to a dentist's office. We have cobbled together several old offices, knocking out walls and putting up new walls, but there are still a few sinks in odd places here and there. With our most recent remodel we considered a shower, and there...

    Wacky workplace "amenities"

Hey, no politics! At first I thought you meant there were pictures of Dr. Julie Gerberding, which would be weird.

(Win pdf books!) Week 1 complete. Click in first post for link to the week 2 thread.

Ranger, you recently asked about the Sears Tower. How about one made from Jenga blocks? http://faculty.nmu.edu/ims/sears1.htm The pics were too large to post one here, but check it out. I have a good bit of E.N. Pub products, but have not gotten around to picking up Steam & Steel, although...

World's Largest Dungeon in actual play [Spoilers!]

Sold! Great idea. The fiendish idea is good too. Now I can't wait for my group to find the new, improved Longtail.

    LOST, the book...

All kinds of stuff happened to the Lost survivors that is now seeming to be of importance, such as Hurley's lottery story, Jack's meeting with the guy from the Hatch, etc. They could pack the book with hints and premonitions of the future on the island.

Castles & Crusades Hits 2nd Printing (TLG PR)

The one negative of announcing a second printing: I have C&C on my list of books to buy, and now I'll have to wait until I can be sure I get a second printing copy. Congrats on the success, Troll Lords. Don't know if I'll ever get to play C&C regularly, but I like the idea and am impressed with...

World's Largest Dungeon in actual play [Spoilers!]

BlueBlackRed, you got a stat block you could share on your half-orc sorc? I like lycanthropes, but I've already run a wererat adventure. My group is in region A, and I would love to do something else with Longtail. However, the group already knows he his name is Longtail. Maybe I should make...

"Kill a PC' Week! (was weekend)

I only have 3 players in my WLD campaign, and one is out for sure tonight. If the other two can make it, I'll run a game, and do my best to reward at least one of them with a valiant death.

What about a reviewer do you want to know?

For the more prolific reviewers, you can get a pretty good idea of this by clicking on their name, either here on in the reviews section. Their profile lists all of their reviews. This is helpful to me, as I can get a general idea of the reviewers likes and dislikes. If the reviewer gave my...

[request/rant] To all reviewers, amateur and pro...

This is precisely why I like to know how a reviewer came into possession of the product in question. At first, you seem to indicate that it is wrong of me to expect a reviewer to be biased, but then you admit that we are all biased, to a certain extent. I don't want a cold recounting of the...

"Baby got Back" or "Fat-Bottomed Girls?"

Queen, no contest. Baby Got Back always makes me think of Shrek. The DVD has party at the end, with a mix of songs, and Eddie Murphy's Donkey sings part of BGB. I've probably heard this more than I have the original, since my kids watched the DVD a couple thousand times when it came out.

    Caster Character Sheets and Spellboks

I just use a stat block format in word for my sorcerer. The most important section is spells, and I cut-and-paste fully copies of all his (her, almost forgot the recent reincarnation incident) spells so that I don't have to flip thru books at the table.

Currently running the World's Largest Dungeon. Before that was Morrick Mansion and Hall of the Rainbow Mage.

Just chiming in with my 2 cents. On reviews stating whether a product was a comp copies: I have nothing against the practice, but I do like for a reviewer to state whether they received the product for free. I wrote a few reviews for d20 Magazine Rack, and love the format there. When the...

EN World Pigskin Pick'em (Updated 12.27.05 - Week 16 results posted)

That was close! With my birthday yesterday, I was busy all day. Woke up this morning (no extra hour of sleep for me, kid's have internal clocks that do not reset for DST), relaxed, had breakfast, watched some of my new Looney Tunes DVDs, and finally decided to cruise ENW for a few minutes. I...

Do recreational drugs feature in your campaign?

I play in diaglo's OD&D game, and he already spoke to that. In the 3.5 game I co-DM, a marijuana like drug is not uncommon. Also, I played a desert-dwelling dwarf who was addicted to a drug called guia that was used be desert guides. It gave a large bonus to Intuit Direction (3.0), making them...
