[The Le Games] 3-year anniversary! $1.99 bundle!

Sold! I've had $2.39 in credit just burning a hole in my rpgnow pocket for ages. This looks a great way to spend it. I think this is my first The Le purchase too. Kudos on another great marketing campaign.

    D&D on Jeopardy

The full game, from 8 February 2007, is now up on J-Archive. http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1700 J-Archive is a cool site. The boards, answers and questions, for Jeopardy games are posted usually within 24 hours of airing.

Very happy to hear you are on the mend. And glad you could watch the Bears, even if with only one eye.

What's Wrong with Virtual Tabletop Play?

Take out the RPGA bits and this says it pretty well for me. I prefer face-to-face, but without virtual tabletop play I might never have played 3.x at all. It keeps me in touch with friends I have known for over 30 years, who are now spread about the country. At least one of them I have not seen...

Tell me about Grim Tales' Magic

I like the Grim Tales rules for a low magic game, but I am tempted to adopt them for a traditional D&D level of magic game. Maybe spell burn only for failed caster level checks. Seems like that would properly duplicate a spellcaster's ability to cast a large number of spells per day in D&D...

    RIP - Eric's Grandma

Cross posting my comments from CM, as the seem more appropriate here: Sorry to hear of her passing, Eric. Glad to hear she lived such a full life, and you seem to be taking things in the best possible way. Her spirit lives on as the guiding inspiration to well-mannered behavior on...

    Good Sites for Free Adventures?

Pogre, who posts here, has a few good low level adventures on his site: http://pogre.com/

live-action big-screen adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender

This worries me, although I like Shamalamdingdong. I've only just started watching the series, thanks to my 6 year old son. He started watching them on television, but we realized the ongoing plot was actually good. So he got the DVDs for Christmas and we are working to get caught up. I'd...

What version of D&D is your favourite to play (expanded poll)

A couple years ago, I would have voted 3.0 or 3.5. But playing OD&D has convinced me that the rules don't matter that much to me. The amount of fun in the game is dependent on the people playing, and to an even greater degree on the person running it.

Help us plan an Atlanta gameday

Believe it or not, practice for my sons' little league baseball starts in mid-February. But I will be coaching on of their teams, and can juggle practices as I see fit. So I should be available Feb. 24, although I may miss part of the time for a baseball practice.

Help us plan an Atlanta gameday

I may be able to stop by the Gaming Pit tomorrow. Have a busy day of home projects planned, but still might be able to work it in. I didn't think the War Room was that close. And I thought diaglo had confirmed it is too small.

Help us plan an Atlanta gameday

The Gaming Pit is sounding pretty good. If we go with a Saturday, we could start as early as 11:00, with other games starting later. I'm not sure how this gets organized, with start times and such, but an 11-3 block, followed by a 4-8 p.m. block, still leaves time for long drives or a late...

    Characters without Bling

It really depends on the campaign. But I have never been a fan of the "cool powers" mindset. PCs are defined by what the actually do in the game, not by what the have the ability to do. In a good campaign, I find myself thinking about the actions my character has taken, and about future plans...

How many people have you played D&D with?

My WAG is 61-80. Gaming club in middle school, a lot of turnover. Gaming at a locol game store in middle school, very large groups, usually 15-20. Regular gaming group, started in middle school and continues online now. Current d20 group, and several offshoots.

Eric Noah, stay out of this thread. Everybody else, hop on in.

What EN World means to me: In my younger days, I would buy Dragon Magazine so I has something D&D related to read. I would read it cover-to-cover, ads and all, good parts and bad, and then read it again. I could talk to the same few people, my friends, about D&D, but outside that core group I...

What's a good low-level adventure for two players?

John, Buzz on the Bridge is indeed a great adventure for younger kids. I DM a game for my sons, ages 8, 6, and 4. We had run through some one-shot adventures, but when I decided they were ready for and actual campaign your adventure was the first I used. We started with NeMorens' vault, which...

Who still plays older versions of D&D?

I'm in this game, along with loki44 and howandwhy99. As they have said, it is great fun. I attribute this as much to diaglo's DMing ability as I do to the ruleset.

    D20 Fantasy Mini-Settings

The Valley of Frozen Tears (Ancient Awakenings) Nice little cold climate setting, limits the amount of new rules/crunch. Review: http://www.enworld.org/reviews.php?do=review&reviewid=2011579
