    Killing Gaseous Vampires

Hmm, how'd the monk get Disrupting Weapon on their hands? Hands don't count as melee weapons for purposes of spells. Otherwise Magic Weapon or Greater Magic Weapon could be used, instead Monk require Magic Fang or Greater Magic Fang.

    Master Staff...

The Epic Feat, Master Staff, allows a caster to use a spell slot instead of a staff charge to cast a spell from a staff. Would Staff spells that drain two charges cost two spell slots or just one?

    Multiclassed Specialists...

If a wizard who specializes in a school of magic multiclasses into a divine class, are his banned schools also banned in his divine class? Example: I have a Wiz5 who specialized in Necromancy and has Evocation and Enchantment as banned schools. Would Evocation and Enchantment clerical spells...

    Attacking a grappler

Hmm, I don't know if we use a house rule (couldn't find anything in the SRD). But we use the cover rules when deciding what you hit when you swing into a grapple. If both opponants are the same size then you have a 50% chance to hit either one. One large and one Medium, then 1/4 chance to hit...

    Shifter PrC Questions

Are you playing 3.0 or 3.5? In 3.5 the Shifter doesn't get the Ex Abilities of the forms they take, so no regeneration. The DM has total control over what the Shifter is familiar with. What we did in my group is give the shifter two forms/level, the rest they have to adventure for and encounter...

    Power Lunge

Power Lunge was errata'd so that it replaces the strength related portion of the damage. You do x2 your Str Mod whether you're charging with a greatsword or a dagger.

    number of attacks when wildshaped

I couldn't find anything that explicitly spells it out, but from the SRD: I believe unarmed attacks are treated as if they were Manufactured weapons. That's why humanoids are allowed iterative attacks based on their BAB. If a humanoid was polymorphed into a troll, I believe he'd be able to...

    number of attacks when wildshaped

Also note: Creatures that only have one attack (dogs, wolves...) get 1.5x their strength bonus. Similar to using a two-handed weapon. Creatures using a secondary attack only use .5x their strength bonus. Similar to using an off-hand two-weapon attack.

    number of attacks when wildshaped

It may seem silly, but it's the rules... Check out the FAQ under Combat Statistics. It gives examples and explanation as to why natural weapons don't get iterative attacks. A Wildshaped Druid uses his own BAB plus the strength bonus of his current form to determine his "to hit". If your BAB is...

    number of attacks when wildshaped

Creatures using only their natural weapons don't get iterative attacks. An 18HD Dire Wolf has a BAB of 13, but gets a single bite for an attack. A 3HD Brown Bear has a BAB of +2, but gets 2 claw attacks and a bit attack. The only place where I see a creature with a single attack getting...

    Shifter advice

You don't get iterative attacks with natural (claw/bite) weapons. However, if you're using a handheld weapon you can get your iterative attacks and use secondary natural attacks. I played a shifter in 3.0 and my favorite form was the troll for mid level (8-13) adventuring (regeneration is a...

Can you trip a flying creature?

Instead of going for their legs, could you go for their wings and force a flying creature to fall? If you can trip them, would their recovery time from the fall be based on their manueverablity? From the SRD: Would tripping a flying creature just change their direction of travel or could...

Can you use items to qualify for feats?

Would you happen to know where in the rules it says that you can/can't use items to qualify for feats? The epic questions was just an extention of the first question. Many of the feats require 25+ Str or other ability score (in addition to having to be an epic character). Was just curious if a...

Can you use items to qualify for feats?

I have 10Str cleric that wants to take Power Attack. Can he take it if he has 14Str while wearing his +4 Str belt? How about epic feats? Can you meet the requirements for those by using items?

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Monk Belt...

The party wizard wouldn't be the one that would benefit the most. Try the party Cleric or Druid who use Bracers of Armor.

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Monk Belt...

It probably should be just +1, but the wording doesn't state that. Also WotC customer service (yea, I know they're not always accurate with their rulings) say you get Wis+1. Here's a link to discussion on the same subject over at WotC

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Monk Belt...

For a non-monk, is the AC benefit +1 or is it Wis+1? From the Monk description: For the price I'd think it's only a +1 increase in AC, but the description seems to say it's Wis+1.

Inherent Bonuses and Polymorph/Wild Shape; Or, Druid Wildshape Smackdown!

Actually, I posted on both Sean Reynold's and Monte Cook's boards. There were several discussions about this when MotW came out and many people were interested in Shifters. My main character is a shifter so I wanted to get the rules straight.
