I have a Graphire 3 tablet that's a little larger than the one you were looking at, and the sum of the it's surface is equal to whatever resolution your screen is at. Pointing at the very top of your tablet area would move the mouse (instantly) to the top of your screen, and moving to the bottom...

I learned Adobe Premiere in college, and it's quite powerful, but it's quite 700 dollars :) It's difficult to find power for cheap, but there are some free ones out there that will do the job, if nothing else. Someone mentioned iMovies? I think windows comes with a "Windows Movie Maker"...

I work for a pre-press graphics company and we have a HP plotter than can print 54 inches by 80+ inches ... might I suggest checking with specialized graphic places around you? Mayhaps find a college that has a graphic design and corrugated department, where some students might need practice...
