Its a lot easier to freep a poll anonymously than it is to freep a poll with legit users. If all the anonymous users are going for a particular choice, its certainly a reason to suspect ballot stuffing.

I personally think the only truly heroic RPG out there is Call of Cthulhu. It's about people giving up everything they have to save the world in acts so incomprehensible that no one will even believe they happened.

Personally, I think that what makes for a good literary hero, especially a greek literary hero, is not the same as what makes for a good heroic game. i don't really care about emulating the greek myth as much as I care about playing a fun game.

But it shares almost all the qualities of what makes Save or Die such an unpopular option. You have to sit out of the game for a long period of time, the flow of the game itself is broken because priority one is getting the party back to town, etc. The only difference is the lost level.

Gotta agree with that. And of course, Stone to Flesh forces a true save or die, though there's still Break Enchantment. Personally, Save or Die effects in the 3e mold are on my game no-no list. Its the kind of thing where I'll walk out of the game and just not come back. They don't inspire...

Honestly, any retailer holding onto some of the first 4e products (stuff like martial power, adventurers vault, etc) should be putting it on discount. Tying up capitol in products less and less likely to sell is a bad idea. Get your money back out and into new, higher margin products. ooo, a...

Nitpick, 4ee presents builds of some martial characters without daily powers. It doesn't change the released classes.

Well, 4e by default assumes point buy. Moreover, since the stats work differently from edition to edition, why should stat generation be the same?

I have DDI so clearly Essential will get integrated into my game. But given that it involves no rules changes, I'm not entirely sure what it would mean to go essentials only.

Out of question, how long should a company keep material on its website? Most of the material from 2000 to current is still there. That's an impressive amount of archiving, given that much of that material is no long generating money for WotC.

Presumably they'd not like 4e even if pathfinder existed. The only people that pathfinder steals are the ones that decide they don't like 4e because pathfinder came out.
