I have always hated encumberance. I don't count weight or anything, just check what players wear and decide what they can carry or what is over the max. It's usually very loose and players fight with lots of heavy equipment on their bags.

Clerics got a wide array of ranged spells, if we are to judge the pregen, but it seems they are mostly attacks, like Lance of Faith. It seems the cleric is a buffer (leader) and the debuffing is made by the Warlock and maybe some other classes (controllers), so I don't think a "divine curser"...
