    Fun with Multiclassing

Hmm. 10th level by the time he's with Belit. I always pictured him as being a bit lower, while Belit being a rogue.

D&D 4E 4e Multiclassing and Characters from Fiction

The feat that lets you pick powers/features from the fighter class. It's the first multiclass feat for the fighter multiclassing path.

    D&D 4E Is "Natural 20" an auto-hit in 4e?

We need the entire text block of critical strikes to confirm that.

First house rule: Tieflings have small horns

In my opinion, those horns and the tail are a tad too big, like, exaggerating the demonish ascentry. I will leave the option to my players to decide how big their tail is (...) and the horn-style, depending their ancestry. That if anyone decides to play a Tiefling.

PLayer's pre-opinions more important than quality of system

In my personal case, I got two skeptical players (who will end playing it happily, I'm sure), one that is a bit new to RPGing, so he will play anything and one that, after I said that saving throws (that not salvation!) are passive defenses, already said he didn't like it. He's very stubborn...

D&D 4E 4e Multiclassing and Characters from Fiction

Eowyn : Fighter with paladin traits. Two R.A. Salvatore heroes: Drizzt Do'Urden : Fighter with Ranger traits, paragon path : Gary-Stu. Cattie-Brie: Fighter, paragon path : Mary-Sue. Sadly we lack classes to set Kimmuriel Obladra (psionic). Dwahvel would be a halfling rogue and Ryld would be a...

Warlock with Paladin Multiclass Feat grouped with Warrior

The multiclassing excerpt said that feats allow us to get class features and powers, but I'm curious if all features are available. The text from the excerpt says : Each class has a class-specific multiclass feat that gives you access to features from that class. I think that only certain...

D&D 3.x My first 4e run : It will be hard to quit 3.5.

KFC is super good here, maybe a tad expensive, but well, it was D&D 4e! D&D is what my players really like. Call of Cthluhu was ok, but not enough for our gaming "rhytm". I only DM the Call for special times, like Halloween or similar. A single shot adventure, with the most horrific things I...

D&D 3.x My first 4e run : It will be hard to quit 3.5.

Yes but, have we seen a single wand, scepter or potion example? Not the kind of wand that grants a wizard a +2 to a single attack roll, but wands that mimic spells, like wand of mirror image or wand of cure light wounds (this one is certainly gone). That's the kind of items my players love to...

    D&D 4E Yet another 4E demo experience

Yeah, critical hits feel a bit different. Sadly, no pregen character had a damage addition to critical strikes, just to show that is actually exists. And I noticed the same thing with powers after the first are used. I think the problem are those solo monsters. They have tons of hit points...

D&D 3.x My first 4e run : It will be hard to quit 3.5.

First of all, thanks for the kind comments, especially about my English. It gives me enough confidence to write more rants ;) Now, I talked with my players today. One of them is a lost cause. He sweared to never play 4e but still unable to say why he just doesn't like 4e. The two experienced...

D&D 3.x My first 4e run : It will be hard to quit 3.5.

Introduction: Not as revolutionary as it seemed. I got some doubts and my players got mixed feelings. It started very bad, but after a heavy discussion, it went smooth and they got more involved. The DM: That's me! After DMing Vampire (Dark Ages, modern), Lord of the Rings, old Call of Cthulhu...

    Multiclassing.

I want to see the limitations on the powers you can pick before I give my final opinion, but it looks decent so far. EDIT : Doh, posted at the wrong one.

    D&D 4E Whee! I get to play 4e tomorrow!

Which character are you picking? If I could choose, it would be the warlock. Looks like it's the most fun character. Too bad it's not Eladrin.

THIS makes a bard a bard

The first time I heard (well, read) the term "bard" was while reading The Hobbit. When we talk about roaming dancers/singers/storytellers we use the word "Juglar" in Spanish, translated as juggler, jester or minstrel to English.

    Multiclassing.

Just in case this thread is used for the real scoop, I'll prepare my opinion. Hmmm, interesting.[Talk about the path they have taken for multiclassing.][Brief comparition with 3.5].[Multiclassing with feats, multiclassing at paragon path.][Random multiclass paths that I would like to...

    Tier-crossing quests

I usually split a campaign in episodes. The episode ends with a very intense adventure, usually with a very long and hard combat (climax and stuff) and then the story is retaken a few weeks/months later, where characters have been resting, doing other stuff, etc. (they tell me what have they...

    Is "Justiciar" the new "Rogue?"

First notice I got. Heck, in Spanish, Blackguard is "Guardia Negro" -> "Black Guard".

    Tier-crossing quests

I got that in mind, but maybe not so artificial. The end of the first episode of the campaign will mean the characters can now advance to the Paragon Path. Maybe they saved the country from an evil tyrant, now they got to move on bigger things.

    Appeal of the defender?

That kind of "solo" characters are hard to set. Gatsu is a defender/striker, to say so. Boromir is a nice example of glorious defender.
