I've got a similiar houserule that I use for Microlite20.

You get 140 magic items over the course of 30 levels. Divided by five, each player gets 24. So it appears that you get one level 2 item, two level 3 items, three level 4 items, then 4 items of each level until you reach the end, where you get three level 32 items, two level 33 items, and one...

I'd like to pitch in and say that this is absolutely awesome.

Why is this thing level 25? It's just a dude with wings and swords for arms that likes collecting stuff. How is that an Epic threat?

The question is how do the retraining rules, multiclassing feats, and multiclassing at paragon level all intersect with each other? Can one start as a fighter, take the wizard feat to throw fireballs around for a while, say "I wanna sneak attack!" then exchange that feat to take the rogue feat...

They were also missing their warlord, and the party wizard had been non-participating for most of the combat.

Check out Elements of Magic: Mythic Earth. It's a nice skill-based magic system that was designed for d20 modern, but could easily be used in D&D.

But generalist gets wish as a spell-like ability. Honestly, nothing else the other guys have compares.

How the heck does your BAB get to 50? You'd have to be like level 80 to get 50 BAB, and that'd only be if you counted the epic bonus to attack as actual BAB (which it doesn't). And if you're level 80, there's a lot more things to worry about than someone trading in 50 attack for PA...
