    Arcane Power excerpt: Summoning

No, the fire warrior has the summon keyword - you command it to attack a single foe as a standard action, and it sticks around for the encounter. The astral wasp is the conjuration.

Spirits- what can they do, and what can be done to them

Thanks Abdul, you're right about dismissing it as a minor. I was slightly disturbed by the possibilities until you pointed that out. I would say that spirit companions don't normally flank, otherwise the at-will Stalker's Strike would be rather pointless. I also think that spirit companions...

Spirits- what can they do, and what can be done to them

I just came to make a thread about spirit companions - not this exact topic but I figured I'd just post here instead of starting another one. For starters, check out the Conjuration keyword. This will answer a few questions such as what terrain hinders a spirit and whether it can hover. No...

    So, about Expertise...

There are a TON of bugs, then! The PHB2 is just loaded with various ways to get bonuses to hit. That half-orc epic feat that gives +4 to hit when you crit till the end of your next turn made me tingle.

    Arcane Power excerpt: Summoning

I don't think it'll be a real problem, Sadrik. Summoned monsters have your hp = your bloodied value, and if it dies that costs you 1 healing surge. With regular healing powers from leaders it could cost the wizard one or two surges to heal that himself, so I think he's coming out relatively...

    Arcane Power excerpt: Summoning

Nice, Astral Wasp is a really fun-looking power. It seems that forced movement would trigger that initial Con damage, right? The flavor text in this preview made me smile, too. The description of Meriele summoning a "black devourer" to aid the paladin is great. Its stuff like this I strive to...

Zombie Plague from Open Grave now available

The next 4e game I start up is definitely going to begin with a good zombie outbreak. Thanks WotC!

    Open Grave - Another Omission?

Ouch, nasty disease! Kyuss worms look tame by comparison (which makes me sad). This would be lots of fun to unleash on a low-level party/city!

Dwarves make as good/better primal characters than elves.

Half-elves seem to make great Chaladins nowadays too.

Art: Bloodfury Savage: Since when do half-orcs shave their pits.

I'm curious, because I don't know - is that your opinion or do you own the adventure? Looks like a rakshasa to me, but I don't own the adventure. Either way, I'm thinking about re-subscribing to Pathfinder! They'll put boobs on anything!

Pathfinder #9 - Escape from Old Korvosa ... ... Hmmm? Oh, sorry. Got distracted.

WotC: H1-H3: Please put up art and map galleries

Sweet. I guess I've failed to notice a great many art galleries! Also, lol I'm an idiot!

    Captured holy implements?

LOL blyng! If I play a gnome I know what his name is going to be. But honestly, the Transfer Enchantment ritual ftw. /story

    Arcane Power Excerpt: Vestige Pact

I kind of agree with Cadfan, but also with Logan. I loved the binder's fluff and oddly matched abilities, but if what we get is short and to the point that's OK too. Unless a particular vestige gets a string of related powers it'd be too much to pack an original vestige's full flavor into a...

WotC: H1-H3: Please put up art and map galleries

Excuse me if this is tangential, but one of my favorite things was when we'd get the art gallery for new sourcebooks before their release. I think back to the 3.5 Eberron run, numerous MMs, Fiendish Codex/Libris Mortis/Lords of Madness/etc. and get warm fuzzies. Now we don't get art galleries...

Is Paizo's Pathfinder really compatible with 3.5?

No, Dragonblade is saying one of the awesome things about 4e is that PCs and NPCs use mostly different sets of rules. Check the quote in his post.

PHB II: Am I The Only One Blown Away By The Art?

"That barbarian" is sweet! I love that pic - especially the tree branch camo paint on his face. I like William O'Connor's work in general though. The tiefling bard is my personal favorite this time around. Recycled art doesn't really bother me. The war priest art from Complete Divine being...
