    Half Elves...Wtf... :P

In a campain I play in, we don't have half races, but we do have blood feats. For the elf-blood and the dwarf-blood, you are functionally human (i.e. you get the extra first level feat and you get the extra skill points).

    Sex and Sexuality in D&D. . .

I usually reserve my characters' sexualities for journals rather than in-game. I have one who's unsure of herself, one who's poly and one total virgin with a romantic hero complex. The sexuality is a pretty tertiary characteristic for the first two, so I just keep that in writing, mostly. For...

Wizards: Bard to no longer suck

I dunno... My bard is pretty awesome. You just have to know how to play them properly. Finesse and social manipulation on and off the battlefield is kind of fun.

    My dad plays D&D!!!!

I wish my dad gamed. He's really the sort who would enjoy it (an engineer with an overdeveloped sense of whimsy) and was into wargaming in the 70s. I've seen the hex boards. He can't hide it!

    Stupid Maxim!

Wow... That dude reminded me of my sociopath ex. That's pretty bad.

My rogue prefers to be called an "infiltration specialist" or a "skilled professional."

Pathfinder 1E Did You Come by the Paizo Delve?

I didn't go to GenCon but one of my DMs and a few folks in our group told us that you were legendary. :p

    Fun to play Characters

John Amon, noir detective: Urban Ranger 2/Fighter 1... Writing in a noir style for this ONGOING Age of Worms campaign makes him special; Gosh, I love Raymond Chandler! Plus, I have a toothpick in my mouth at all times as a player RPing aid. (Anyone see Hot Fuzz? Amon was that guy before the...

D&D 4E Rumor Control: List 4E rumors which have proven to be FALSE!

You forgot to add: Disproved here. Corporate gamers lying to fans? Nooooooooooooo! :p Of COURSE "long ways off" and "we're not working on 4E" translates into "we've been working on it for about three years."

Are you a 3.5e grognard? Post here!

I dunno, man. I can whine with the worst of them. :p Screw 4E. Too much money invested in 3.5 and as recently as last month (Complete Champion!). If it ain't broke... And I don't want to hear about it being broken (in any sense of the word) because if it's fun, it's fun, damnit. Seriously...

    D&D 4E Will you buy 4e?

    So very unlikely.

Are you a 3.5e grognard? Post here!

I think I've said it before and I'll say it again. I bitched about 3.5. There's no way 4E's going to show up without me whining a whole frickin' lot -- especially if the changes are just changes for the sake of changes. And if there's no backwards compatibility, forget it.

D&D 4E 4E: What we think we know

Wow. This is even faster than the legitimate entertainment industry's methods: vinyl, 8-tracks, cassette tapes, cds, mp3s, iPods.... Same music, bought just in time to be obsolete. I can't say that I'm enthralled with this third edition to be released in less than 10 years.

    How to deal with goblins

These answers are great! (And a lot of the responses have made me laugh too.) I'm thinking about hiring a cook for the ship. "Well behaved" goblins who follow orders and don't try to kill the ship's cat will be given meat for their meals. Everyone else will get rice and beans. Perhaps the...
