Standing up from prone provokes one. Two wolves on one PC. One wolf trips a PC. PC stands up, provokes an AoO from each wolf. Each wolf gets a free attack and a chance to trip if hit.

I've not been a fan of WotC's recent FR changes, so I'd prefer they leave them as is with just updated 4E information.

I've houseruled that AoO's can only be normal attacks. Otherwise a handful of wolves can ruin someone's day with a huge number of trips.

Yeah and if you need any playtesters for said 4e stuff, you have a big pool of people here to pick from. And you already know I'll be honest.

Unless you or one of your players has an eidetic memory, you're going to miss or forget a rule. Your options are to quickly houserule it or spend an unspecified amount of time looking it up. If you're wrong on the ruling, it probably won't be that big of a deal to fix.
