You've mentioned the steam aspects... where's the punk? Iron Kingdoms is steam tech, not steampunk. And yes, it's the steam curse :p Steam & Steel has nearly overcome it now, Iron Kingdoms too - no idea about OGL Steampunk, but I haven't heard anything about Steam Trains & Sorcery for a while...

Ah, good to see the old traditions kept up. Someone should keep a tally of just how often the 'how do you pronounce drow' threads come up.

I use firearms in my homebrew setting, in small numbers (they're pretty expensive, but scary in the hands of trained elites like a religious order called the Dawnguard). Since they're pretty expensive to start with, they often also end up with some sort of magical enhancements too.

Exams are really catching up with me now, I'm afraid. Two exams this week, then a short break before my last two. Unless I find a sudden burst of energy amongst my exams I'll have to wait until after them to update this again, I'm afraid :) But an update will happen eventually, rest assured!
