    New CB Character Sheet Shots

I actually prefer the CBC character sheets because it gives a number break-down for all your stats. I hope you still have that option in the online CB.

    Do you DDI?

I used to subscribe once every few months for the CB updates. Now I'm going to wait a few months to make sure the online tools aren't a complete train wreck.

    New CB Power Card Pics!

I like it. It doesn't look as natural or professional as the CBC cards, but it's more organized.

My vision of what D&D Insider should become

That all sounds like good stuff. I'm not holding my breath, though. I wouldn't say I'm angry about the move, but nothing I've heard so far impresses me. The three things I most want are: 1. A fast, reliable interface. If it's slow and glitchy then I'm just not going to bother. But...

November 16th release for Web-based Character Builder

This move doesn't bother me as long as Wizards is absolutely dedicated to getting updates done on time. Every month they miss an update, I will be on their ass for a refund. And besides, if you're not using Dark Sun or Essentials, you can keep using the program at least until, like, April.

The Hexblade (Essentials Warlock) is up!

First the binder and now the hexblade? The warlock is absorbing all the classes nobody cares about.

DDI "Web Tools Suite" (rampant speculation)

If the CB is going online, there are two things I'm hoping for: First, this better not just be the CB we're all used to, except online. I hope we're getting something out of this. Maybe cloud-based character sheets and more reliable updates. Second, I hope the online interface is simple html...

    How big are regulation dice?

Anyone else wondering how this guy got up to 175 posts and never learned how to buy dice? Any set you buy from a company like Chessex or Crystal Caste will be legitimate. And any serious D&D tournament with a cash reward will supply their own dice. Now if you want to learn how to rig your...

D&D 4E 4E Tomb of Horrors Retail Edition vs. 4E Tomb of Horrors DM Rewards Edition

The RPGA module is much more brutal than the hardcover. I'm not sure even that can be completed in a single session, unless the party dies quickly.

    Keep on Shadowfell...how long?

Keep on the Shadowfell took us six four-hour sessions with six players, four of whom were inexperienced with D&D 4e. I added some content to the interlude, but the party bypassed the hobgoblins. So yeah, about 24 hours sounds right. We started Thunderspire Labyrinth this week. We made it all...

    Question on Dual Wielding

Sweet, thanks. Always good to know you're doing it right.

    Question on Dual Wielding

Can a character hold an implement in each hand and gain the abilities from each, even if he only gets the numerical bonus from one of them? Likewise, can a character hold a one-handed weapon in each hand and gain the abilities from both? The way I understand it, a player can hold an implement...

    D&D 4E I miss 4E

The truth is that the Essentials books are useful, but they're not very exciting. The new content is useful for bringing in new players, and the compendiums are generally convenient. For experienced players, there's nothing to be excited about at least until the middle of 2011. If Wizards...

    DDI September/October Update info

I wonder if "new web-based tools system" means Game Table... Can't wait for news updates.

    Time per round?

My group usually gets through four or five battles in a five hour session. If I figure we spend half the time in combat and half doing other stuff, each battle takes about a half hour. surfarcher's links are very good. In general: *Make sure your players are paying attention. *Make sure...

    D&D 4E Simple 4e newbie question

No qualifier. It's really written like that. Except for a few obscure situations, there is no reason why they couldn't just make the basic attack a minor action. It might have been an oversight. That's not an official rule, although most minor action powers that can be used more than once...

    Elemental Power Source

That sounds fun. Maybe I need to start learning about essentials.

    Elemental Power Source

I don't have a DDI membership. Is the Pyromancer a paragon path or a new class build or something?

Question on diseases - when do you roll Endurance?

Ah, I missed that sentence. Thanks.
