    Spell Hacker's Guide?

There's Spellthief from Complete Adventurer. It's not quite what you're looking for, but it's a rogueish character who can steal prepared spells, and spell effects from the target.

Weapon of Spell Storing - What spells?

Actually, my DM allows the stored spell to retains it's original caster level. I realize it goes against the RAW, but I'm not going to argue. :P

Weapon of Spell Storing - What spells?

Poison is a 4th level Cleric spell, and a weapon of spell storing can only store spells of 3rd level or lower. We do have a Druid in the party, so I can have her cast it into the weapon for me though. Our party currently lacks much in the way of arcane spell power. I used to have a Mystic...

Weapon of Spell Storing - What spells?

I've got a (Lawful Good) 8th level Shadowbane Stalker (Cleric/Rogue combination PrC from CV). He's a Rogue 3/Cleric 2/Shadowbane Stalker 3 (divine caster level 5 if I'm calculating correctly). He's a two-weapon specialist using a pair of light maces, one of which has the Spell Storing quality...

    Sneak Attack vs. Uncanny Dodge

Ahh, but again we have a difficult word to decipher: "even". The description of Uncanny dodge uses the term: "even if", not "if". The inclusion of the word "even" seems to lead me to believe the statement after it is an clarified example, and not the only situation in which the character retains...

    Sneak Attack vs. Uncanny Dodge

That brings up a good point: can a character deny an enemy who has Uncanny Dodge his Dex bonus to AC by Feinting in combat?

    Argh!! Useless Rogues

Agreed! I played a Ranger 2 campaigns ago, and not once did I ever fight any of my three Favoured Enemies (I can't remember what they were, but they were fairly common such as Orcs).

    Sneak Attack vs. Uncanny Dodge

Actually, read the description for Uncanny Dodge, and you'll see that it specifically states you are not denied your Dex bonus to AC, even if struck by an invisible attacker. Blind Fight is a feat (and thus available to all characters who meet the prerequisites), whereas Uncanny Dodge is a...

    Sneak Attack vs. Uncanny Dodge

I think the issue here is with the term "would be". The description of sneak attack states: This can be interpreted as saying that whether or not a character is in fact denied hs Dex bonus to AC, if that character would be denied their dexterity bonus to AC, they are suceptible to Sneak...

    Sneak Attack vs. Uncanny Dodge

I've been wondering about this one myself, but I don't think the \Rogue can make a sneak attack in such a case (unless the target were flanked, in which case only Improved Uncanny Dodge would help). If the target retains their Dex bonus to AC, it's like a sixth sense, and thus I don't see how a...

.pdf Character Sheets That Can Save Data?

Nope, IronWolf is correct. The 'ReaderSave' edition of the sheet will allow you to save PDF form data from within Adobe/Acrobat Reader (though you won't be able to adjust page visibilities to hide pages you aren't using). I just re-read the description on my webpage, and I can see the confusion...

    Knowledge: Local?

Yeah, I've already done this. He generally doesn't have problems with making such changes just after a character decision is made if it doesn't make sense or whatever. I just find the restriction to be very odd, and contrary to the way all other Knowledge skills work.

    Knowledge: Local?

How exactly does Knowledge: Local work? I ask because I introduced a new character in the campaign I'm a part of last week: a Shadowbane Stalker (from Complete Adventurer). Since he's a information gatherer and spy, I gave him some ranks in Knowledge: Local. However, when the opportunity came...

So ... what comes AFTER mystic theurge?

I've got a Cloistered Cleric 3 / Abjurer 3 / Mystic Theurge 2 character I've been playing for a while as well. Since my DM expressed his thought that this campaign will take us up to level 20, I've researched what I'd do when I max out Mystic Theurge (I like to plan ahead). My thoughts are...

Where are the Mental Stat Bonuses?

Githyanki don't get a mental stat bonus. They get +2 Dex, +2 Con, and -2 Wis according to the XPH. Aasimar, Tiefling, and Githzerai are some of the few races I've found with mental stat bonuses and low LA (ie: +0-2). In the XPH, only Dromites (+2 Cha, -2 Str, -2 Wis), Githzerai (+6 Dex, +2 Wis...

Where are the Mental Stat Bonuses?

But isn't there a tradoff that can be made, something like -4 total to physical stats (or -2 to a different mental stat) in exchange for a +2 to a mental stats? Even at a LA of +1, I still don't see too many races with mental stat bonuses (Planetouched come to mind as some who do, but even then...

Where are the Mental Stat Bonuses?

Well that's just dumb! So they screw up a whole bunch of races, to make up for the fact the screwed up with one!? I'll look into that. To be honest, I wasn't paying much attention to the variant sub-races listed in the MM. Hmm... I'm not so big on the Charisma hit when Turn Undead relies so...

Where are the Mental Stat Bonuses?

Actually, in the case of Elves I wasn't even thinking of their favoured class. I was simply thinking of how elves are described: "Elves possess unearthly grace and fine features. Many humans and members of other races find them hauntingly beautiful." – PHB 15

Where are the Mental Stat Bonuses?

I've been working on an alternate character for the campaign I'm currently a part of, as my current character came all to close to death during the last gaming session. My current character is a human Mystic Theurge, and so I was looking at creating another spellcaster: either another theurge...

Boccob's Blessed Book and Cost per Page

Wait a sec. Are you saying that the BBB negates all 100gp/page cost of writing spells into a spellbook? That doesn't make sense. Isn't BBB 10,000gp? That would mean that it costs 1/10th the cost of writing that many spells normally. Does that tradeoff sound right?
