GET OUT OF MY MIND RIGHT NOW! I'd kill someone if it could help getting either of those projects into reality.

<not the adventure> Burn down the town

Nope. It's quite hard for a four-men group to destroy a town of respectable size. You need to be either very well-organized or high level, and the type of group who would burn down a town on a whim generally isn't the former and doesn't live long enough to be the latter.

Have you ever killed a familiar?

Yeah, I killed my aunt. ...what do you mean, "not that sort of familiar"?

More examples from Weapons of Legacy

Huh. Whoa. They're ultra-detailed items, basically. Loads of powers which you have to find out individually, and a lot of background. I'll buy this book if I can find a way to keep it hidden from my players. Hm... electronic format could do the trick.

    Tactics on Vampires

They kill vampires. But they are too high level for Endor to use.

    Tactics on Vampires

You need sunbeam or sunburst to kill vampires off, but that's high level magic.

    Tactics on Vampires

There are three main problems with vampires. In order of severity: First: they dominate at will. Get a protection from evil on everyone in the party. In fact, since there are dispel-capable spellcasters among the bloodsuckers, get multiple protection from evil spells on everyone (magic circles...

Cultural and Technological Continuity and The Process of Change

In standard D&D, I think there are several good reasons for which the advancement of technology seems to be halted at the middle ages level. The main three are the following. First, magic can solve a lot of the problems that technology would, faster, better and sometimes even cheaper. The only...

Why does magic work the way it works?

Hm. I certainly don't want it in D&D, but a game where you have a 21st century society in all respects, save for magic replaces technology, could be cool to play. People complaining about the environmental effects of magic, media companies trying to get Copy spells outlawed, wars for mana, big...

    Greater Planar Ally Options

A 7th level red slaad barbarian? A 4th level green slaad sorcerer? A blue slaad wearing magical full plate, belt of giant's strength, bracelet of health, amulet of mighty fists and boots of speed?

Why does magic work the way it works?

Usually, I've found that PCs don't research much if at all. Existing spells can cover virtually any situation anyway. It's generally faster and cheaper to purchase an existing spell, rather than researching one. For example, noone cares about a coldball because a fireball is just as good against...

    Keeping elves from overpopulating

I kinda liked the idea where elves, dwarves and halflings are all the same race, being the females, males and children of the race respectively. I wouldn't use it in a campaign, but it's nifty. It does away with the dwarven woman problem, it gives the DM an excuse to make all elves ultra-hot...

    Why Worship Gods?

Heh. Neither do witches. Gods are already arrogant and self-centered enough as it is, there's no need to encourage them. :D

    Greater Planar Ally Options

For NE it's Yugoloths. They've been converted somewhere, I can't remember if it's the MotP or the BovD. For N, Planescape lore would suggest Rilmani, though in that setting they don't actually get summoned much.

D&D monster to the big screen?

Tarrasque (Godzilla, need I say more?) Succubus (X-rated) Invisible stalker (cheap on FX) Ghoul (when braaains aren't enough) Inevitable (ahre you sahrah connohr?) Vampire and Lycanthrope (hey, overused they may be, but they're D&D monsters, don't complain) Efreeti (think Wishmaster, only...

    Dungeon Siege Movie

Agreed. The game sucked IMO. But a halfway decent fantasy popcorn movie, a hollywood flick, based on special effects and one-liners, with an off-the-shelf plot and average dialogue, would have already been a good way to spent two hours. In the hands of Boll, however, it will simply be yet...

    State of the world

Around now, I'm paying 4.2€ for a gallon. I guess that's, what, five dollars? I haven't kept up on exchange lately. Luckily, I don't have a country as big as a continent to travel around. :D
