    Sovereign Press to produce Dragonlance

Re: Re: Re: Woohoo! (edited) I't was my impression that DOSF was the authors' attempt to close down the usage of DL by anyone but the original creators (possibly because they didn't like how some of the other DL novels turned out), and SAGA was TSR's attempt to repair the "damage" and revive...

    Sovereign Press to produce Dragonlance

Re: Woohoo! I'm not sure what you mean by "everything that TSR did in terms of the Chaos Wars." If you're talking about Dragons of a Summer Flame, that was all W&H's idea.

    Sean Reynolds Let Go

Heh, I have a folder on my desktop called "RPG to post." It's all stuff I plan to post to my site, and not counting my PBEM logs it's still about 1 MB of material. And that doesn include the Saberhagen swords. :)

    Sean Reynolds Let Go

Re: HUH? Just as if I were an employee, my NDA prevents me from spilling the beans on unannounced WotC plans, profitability, resources, upcoming products, etc. It's pretty standard for an IP company. Nothing ominous in it. Not as far as I know. I'm not trying to sell it, so it's basically a...

Two last comments on Sean's rant

WotC hasn't announced any plans for such a thing, so until they do, I can't say that I will be working on such a thing. I do have notes of some of the wild magic spells that I plan to convert and post on my site, though.

Two last comments on Sean's rant

This has nothing to do with WotC not posting a style guide. We give a list of languages in the PH ... use that list instead of making up your own word for a language (the word "elvish" doesn't appear in the PH, DMG, or MM, so why would you insert it into a book you write when a term already...

    Miasma: Slow Inevitable Death?

Well, the spell does have a duration, so once the duration ends the creature can breathe normally again.

Hi, just two responses to things people said in the last thread (I'm ignoring the personal attacks because the opinions of those people have no value to me). Actually, I said "Game-term sizes are always printed with a capital letter...." I didn't say "all game terms, I was specifically...

    Sean Reynolds rant about terminology

Re: Reynold's rants FYI, it is intended for publishers, and I have updated the ran't title to make that clear.

    Sean Reynolds rant about terminology

Well, I didn't write the DMG. The books I wrote that were based on material in it (such as Magic of Faerun used the DMG terminology (including the erroneous "enchant") until the managing editor for RPGs, Kim Mohan, pointed out to me the terminology problem with it, and when I pointed that out in...

    Sean Reynolds rant about terminology

I'll admit we don't spell it out overtly in the game. However, the spells mage armor and mage hand are a clue.

    Sean Reynolds rant about terminology

Speak English any way you want. But when you write game rules you need to use the right terms. If you say "Prerequisite: Wizard level 3+" and you mean "Prerequisite: Arcane spellcaster level 3+," you are saying one thing and meaning another. When you say "this gem gives you a +2 DC to all...
