    In the alignment section of the PHB, under Lawful Good, it says that [sample Paladin] is a "merciless opponent of evil". The BoED has more information that lays down guidelines for exalted characters that's more restrictive then what's in the PHB.

    No, but you can take Divine Might, and it works for every attack that round, not just one. Or Take the Feat Extra Smiting and get 2 extra smites per day.

    Question, what if a character recieved a specific bonus feat as a class benefit. Could they later change that bonus feat as a feat, or as a class ability? If it's treated as a feat, you could change it to any other feat you'd qualify for at that level, if a class ability, you caouldn't change it...

    I don't think so, he already took most of his turn earlier, 'reserving' a second or two to make a single attack. Now, after that, the players turn changes initiative, but it doesn't effect the current turn.

    From the 3.0 FAQ example posted on page 2 The reason he doesn't threaten in the example is because he took a readied action on the opponents turn. If he threw the axe on his turn, he could have readied the Long Spear on his own turn as a free action.
