When you get SA in melee, don't overlook Girallon's Blessing, which will give you 4 clawed hands, plus rend if you hit with 2 of them. That's 4 attacks with sneak damage to each at full bonus.

You could get 2 more points of Con by being a Dragonborn Dwarf (or Gold Dwarf). Dragonborn is in Races of the Dragon, and it's stat mods are +2 con, -2 Dex.

There's also Greater Mirror Image, which my Wizard was never without the ability to cast and a Psionic Skin of Power Damping greatly reduces the effects of a BW without expending spells. Assay Spell Resistance essentially gave my 16th level Wizard a +29vs SR with other bonuses.

If you take Beguiler 2, Wizard 3, UM10, Archmage 1-5 you should get 9th level Wiz spells with Practiced Spellcaster (Beguiler) taken at 3rd. Should be CL 11 with both classes when you get to UM7, so you can choose to give the increase to the Wizard casting, that gets you 9th level spells.
