Planescape - Dead God Rising ~OOC

Just give us the "go"! Put me in coach, I'm ready to play! :) I had a few 'housekeeping' questions. Could somebody give me a quick reminder of how to code in spoiler boxes, text colors, etc? Is there a certain format that you want us to use, Nalfeshnee? Are our characters going to be...

Planescape recruitment: Anyone looking to stop Tenebrous being reborn?

Nuan the Houseless Update Nalfeshnee- Coolio! I am looking forward to it! Regarding this from your post above: "...for the first campaign idea. ...as far as alignmens go, im looking for chaotic over lawful, neutral over over good. appropiate alignments would be CG, CN, TN and (at a stretch)...

Planescape - Dead God Rising ~OOC

Nalfeshnee- Coolio! I am looking forward to it! Regarding this from your post above: "...for the first campaign idea. ...as far as alignmens go, im looking for chaotic over lawful, neutral over over good. appropiate alignments would be CG, CN, TN and (at a stretch) NE" I realize that my...

Planescape - Dead God Rising ~OOC

Nuan the Houseless Nalfeshnee- OK! I fleshed out my proposed PC, Nuan the Houseless, a Neraph Ranger/Monk member of the Doomguard Faction. I will not post his writeup here, as you wanted to keep the OOC details quiet based on your other thread. As a LN nihilist (well, he *is* one of the...

Savage Tide! (Recruiting Closed, Players Selected!)

Vakra Quinn Vakra Quinn is an angry soul, quietly seething in his resentment of the human and elven societies which both cast him as an outsider. While he resents members of both races, he hates himself more still. He struggles to prove his worth, and through doing so, to Champion the cause...

Planescape recruitment: Anyone looking to stop Tenebrous being reborn?

Nalfeshnee- Wow! That filled up fast! If you have more room, or anybody drops out, I am interested. I was thinking about a Neraphim Ranger/Monk/Divine Fist.

Savage Tide! (Recruiting Closed, Players Selected!)

Malvoisin- OK, cool, thanks! My notes are on my work PC ( ) so I cannot get to them until Monday. I will clean them up and post again then!

Savage Tide! (Recruiting Closed, Players Selected!)

Tonks- While the storm cleric would probably be more useful to the party, you cannot beat the Monkey Ninja Pirate for sheer coolness. :) EDIT: It looks like a couple of you guys are fleshing out your concepts; I was not sure if I should do that now, or wait to hear for the selected list?

Savage Tide! (Recruiting Closed, Players Selected!)

Malvoisin- Hey, there! This sounds like a fantastic idea to me. My home group is running through Age of Worms right now, and having a great time with the campaign. I am sure that Savage Tide will be of similar high-quality. FWIW, I have only had a few PBEM/PBP games. They had all flamed...

    ninja, sudden strike and strategy

Sorvahr- I don't know if I would call myself an expert, but I am playing a Ninja now, so maybe I can share some playtesting experience. First off, I would be very cautious about focusing too much on using ranged attacks. Without the extra Sudden Strike damage, the Ninja's damage output is so...

Manufactured weapons and secondary natural attacks

According to the FAQ, yes, but the SRD is silent on the issue AFAIK. You are right that the secondary natural attack is at -5, unless the creature has the Multiattack/Improved Multiattack Feats to reduce the penalty.

    Damnation Decade: Designer Discussion Thread

Rob- Thanks for starting the thread! I was so excited about the premise of Damnation Decade that I preordered the book through my FLGS! :) It is a pretty good read, although I have not had time to fully digest all the details yet. My one big critique of the book was your use of substitute...

    Star Frontiers Conversion Advice?

Thanks, guys! I hear you about not making a literal translation, JA. The rest of your approach makes complete sense. (I have already been checking out your Star*Drive site, too, so thanks for that!) Rhun, the problem I have is that being unfamiliar with the Star Frontiers system, I have no...

    Module Conversions

I was imprecise in my language. Obviously, materials produced prior to the OGL could not be subject to it. But, the spirit of the OGL (and all Open Source generally) is to expand a common system widely so that it gets widely adopted. Allowing and encouraging conversions to that open system...

    Star Frontiers Conversion Advice?

Hey, folks! I am working on converting a Star Frontiers module to d20 Future to run for a game at GenCon. Unfortunately, I do not really know the Star Frontiers rules at all (the last time I played the original was about 1983..!) so converting to d20 Modern/Future is proving difficult for me...

    Module Conversions

Johnny- If it is OK to distribute your notes, I would very much like to see them. I have the original module and d20 Future, but I have not figured out a direct conversion methodology, so your notes would help a lot. Rhun is right that the conversion standards essentially let you substitute...

    How many times...?

Diaglo- I need a sanity check here, dude. You have had a "crazy person [throw] trash and screaming at [you]" *numerous* times? Where the heck do you live, man?? I have heard random screaming, and on one occasion even screaming invictives, but never thrown trash! EDIT: Spelling gaffe.

"Practice Spellcaster" Feat - Huh ?

To Melkor: there are some better options for a Fighter/Magic User in 3E than in earlier editions. Instead of multiclassing Fighter/Wizard, I would suggest a hard look at the Duskblade core class (in PHB II). If you would rather have a more martial-oriented Fighter/MU, then the Hexblade...

    Making a "monster hunter"?

Hunter of the Dead (Complete Warrior) sounds pretty close to the archtype you have in mind. It is not for *all* classic 'monster' types, but does cover all undead, which would include a lot of the typical classics (vampires, ghosts, etc.). If you did want to focus on a specific monster type...

Dragon Magazine: Crunch vs. Fluff - What do you want?

I would prefer an even balance between the two, erring on the side of more crunch than fluff. I think that Dragon has maintained that balance very well since its re-launch, and hope that there would not be an editorial shift from that current status. I have enjoyed the Core Beliefs articles...
